I've been reading a lot about certain vitamins/herbs/etc that have medicinal/therapeutic values that are relatively unknown to the general population. This had me curious if there were more that I was unaware of.

Examples:

1. Supposedly the vitamin Niacinamide in larger doses (1000mg to 2000mg of the 500mg capsules at a vitamin shop) can be used as a lower potency form of Benzos. I still haven't been able to find studies/research into this yet, but have seen a lot of anecdotal evidence that leads to belief that it can be used as such.

2. Kratom apparently seems to have opiod type effects if used properly as well, that can be used for pain killing/opiod withdrawal aid to some degree.

3. I also discovered a recent advertisement of an "OTC" Adderal replacement composed of Octopamine, DMAA, Caffeine and CDP Choline, which I am not sure of it's efficacy, but is another example should it's claims be true.

4. Etizolam also is an obvious one, but appears to be more well known at least to those that keep up with RCs, but this is more in the "new chemical" class that I'm not looking for as an answer to this question. I'm referring to substances that are already FDA approved or have a long history of usage in their effects. So Etizolam would not qualify as a true answer for my question unless there is a longer use history I am unaware of, or an FDA approval of some sort.

---

What other OTC/Herbal/Vitamin based drugs exist out there, that have the effects of prescription or scheduled substances, and either have research/studies on their effects, or at least a large amount of anecdotal evidence in support of it?

Safety in their usage, and legality (and preferred continued legality) is the prime requirement for substances I'd like to find out about and research.

Thanks!

Also I don't think Etizolam is that new. It's prescribed in India and probably other countries too.

I'm pretty sure RC's, herbal suppliments, vitamins are never endorsed by the FDA. All the bottles I've seen say "statements not verified by the FDA".

I'm referring mainly to things approved by FDA as a dietary supplement/food additive, or herbs that have been in use for more than the past century for the specific purpose and have a quality similar to that of prescription medications.

Another example is the evidence pointing to Magnesium being used to help ease problems of addiction/negative side effects to stimulants. It's not FDA approved for that purpose, it's approved a dietary supplement.

Also I don't think Etizolam is that new. It's prescribed in India and probably other countries too.

That is interesting to hear, I'll have to research that for sure!

Ya that's interesting. Ive been wanting to get kratom for a little while now(was ganna make a kratom thread but might as well post in hear) but Im not to sure where to get it and which to get. I've seen capsules, leaves(for tea I guess) and a powder.
I want to know witch one is the best and where to get it. So anyone who has perchased kratom let me know witch one is the best and where you got it. I wanna make sure I'm getting it from the right place and the right stuff.

This is against the rules, we are not here to suggest legal alternatives for illegal drugs.

Bluelight is not here as a drug recommendation service. We are not some sort of internet pharmacy. Use the search engine if you have questions about a particular drug.
