i'm curious to hear from people who have used prescribed adderall or similar drugs at mostly recommended doses long term . what are the long term effects?

Bump .

I'm Also intrested in this one .

If we can get enough people to answer this thread, it would be intresting to see the general long term effects .

Right next to this one on the main page, actually, is just about a carbon copy of your question with some useful information.

Generally, though, if you're dependent on amphetamines long-term, then you'll eventually be worse off than before you started using... but you do get a short time of hyper-productivity. It's up to you to weigh the advantages accordingly.

i just read that entire thread, kind of funny it got posted at the same time. however, it says nothing about the physiological affects. i am curious about both mental and physical.

These moderators are driving me crazy, and I've only used bluelight for a day!! I've been an Admin for grasscity for years, and these moderators need to chill out lol :D

While I do agree that they sometimes go gung-ho with the thread-closings, they're merely serving the forum with no expectation of some kind of monetary return. And really, there's nothing more annoying than a forum gone completely anarchic.

There's little point in attempting to belittle the mods.

Maybe you can try to address your grievances in a more sophisticated (and private) manner.

Try doing a search for people's experiences, either in Trip Reports or in Other Drugs (there are a lot of threads about stimulant use here).

There are little long-term effects of amphetamines if you take them daily; they will eventually not work as well as they once did.

As for long-term effects of a single experience/short term usage of the medication, there can be benefits but they aren't noticeable by everyone and are more noticeable for ADHD patients.

The longer you use amphetamines, the more negative side effects there are from discontinuing usage. This goes for most other drugs too.

yes, if you've got a problem with one of our decisions then pm us, don't air it out in public and make an ass of yourself.

like you said you've only been here a day. wait until you've been around for a few years and see the same question posted and answered 1000 times. it's not something we can stop but we do what we can do to not have so many duplicate threads.

OD is a high traffic forum and we work for nothing in our own time because we have a vested interested in the board and try to aim a certain way to run it. there's nothing wrong with trying to set a higher standard of postings and threads.
