What are the dangers of combining a therapeutic dose of DXM with MDMA and MDA?

I was planning on going out to a mini music festival tonight, and I really wanted to roll on a combo of MDMA and MDA. For the past week though, I've been taking Mucinex DM (60mg DXM HBr/1200mg Guaifenesin) about twice a day. I last took some around 9:40 A.M., it's 1 P.M. now. If I were to roll tonight, I was planning on taking it around midnight (at the earliest). This makes it 14.5 hours since the last dose of Mucinex. The formula is said to last 12 hours, so would this be a safe enough time between dosing?

I know that DXM and MDMA is a dangerous combination due to the increased risk of serotonin syndrome, but I'm wondering. Are they talking about recreational dosages of DXM or are they also including therapeutic doses as well? Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thank you so much, you beautiful, wonderful people! <33333

I think you'd be fine. That is a pretty low dose, and 14 hours after the drug will be metabolized through your system enough to have no negative effects on your 'roll'

^ Think? Serotonin Syndrome is INCREDIBLY dangerous, you need to be more sure than that to tell someone to risk their lives.

DO NOT do it. It's not worth it. Plain and simple. Taking DXM for that long, even in lower doses, is going to build up in your system. Getting high isn't worth it.

It's bad advice to urge caution? Please, go on.

Do I think it will kill him? No. Do I think he should do it? No, absolutely not. If you wanted to roll this weekend, you should have realized that taking 60mg of DXM twice a day would be a bad idea.

I think the problem is not with the accumulation of DXM but with the accumulation of its effects. Taking a serotonin reuptake inhibitor like DXM for a week might have altered your brain's homeostasis in some way that can persist even after the DXM has left your body. I doubt there's any conclusive information on this and I'm no expert, but you won't catch me taking DXM and MDMA within a day of each other.

I consider the risk minor: it's rather telling that the box/bottle doesn't carry warnings against other serotonergic medications, but yeah, taking a day off dosing will help...mdma will act as a dramatic decongestant anyway. ;)

At most, there would be minor receptor-downregulation, attenuating MDMA's effects. I wouldn't expect anything noticeable though.
