I know it takes a few weeks to antidepressant effects begin, but is there any other effects/side effects that kicks in immediately?

Does the decreased sex drive also takes weeks to become noticeable?

You'll probably instantly have a slightly upset stomach, not much else.

Why not ask your doctor?

If you weren't prescribed this medication for a very specific reason, I would advise not using it at all.

Some side effects can manifest immediately and sexual side effects are some that can. SSRI's such as fluoxetine are actually used acutely to treat premature ejaculation. Only the short-acting SSRI dapoexetine has gained FDA approval for such but most or all SSRI's CAN have this effect acutely although it will certainly be stronger if taken regularly.

In short, some side effects are possible acutely but its relatively rare and likely to not be nearly as pronounced as regular dosing.
