What did you think of those three?
Propofol is kind of a mystery to me; it has to be IVed, right?
Chloral hydrate was taken off the US market a few years back (IIRC). That's too bad since I think I'd rate it better than the Bluelight "majority report," at least if my appreciation of phenobarbital—another unpopular one—is anything to go by.
Diethyl ether is something that I actually bought on a whim recently & received last week. I'm a little intimidated to crack it open, though. . . I'd enjoy a drug like alcohol or zolpidem or pregabalin that wears off faster for less OD risk with opiates.
Propofol I've only had in combination with other depressants for IV sedation, so I can't judge it on its own. Same with midazolam.
Chloral hydrate I've briefly reviewed. At 200 mg it was a mild intoxication. It's not terribly interesting; it might be if it were safer.
Diethyl ether: I've only ever done this by taking a deep inhalation from the mouth of the bottle, which gives a mild and short-lasting light-headedness and relaxation. It's nice -- I'd probably do it once in a while if I had some laying around. I'd imagine dousing a rag in it and inhaling from that, or swallowing a spoonful, would give more substantive effects, but I never came across it in the right environment to give that a try.
