Stimulants what amphetemine is best for social and all around functioning?

Concerta (Methylphenidate) works amazing for me in social settings, and it doesn't show up in normal drug tests. Ritalin is the same but the effects don't last as long as Concerta. 54 mg is a good dose for a first timer.

lexaurin-have you eliminated your social phobia now without drugs??if so, how?
It s much better now, but i still have it some times around strangers.
What helped me was exposing to anxious situations , simple and terrifying at first, but slowly it was getting better.
In the last year i experimented a little with 5apb 4fa and 4 ho met.
After smoking i was 2 years completley sober, even no coffee.

I'm clean now, but just based on my past experiences, Dexedrine is a wonderful drug for sociability and for all around functioning. However, when I was using, I noticed that Dexedrine can be a very strange drug. In most instances, it'll give you a great boost in energy, mood and confidence, however in others, it'll feel as though it's not doing anything, besides making you zone out and raising your pulse and b.p. . I've had more than a few instances where I've taken Dexedrine and didn't do anything except for space out and just stare out the window and neither be sociable nor functional. IME, the Spansules are the worst offenders for doing this. I always found them to be extremely unpredictable as far as effects went, and even after crushing the little beads in them, the effects were just as unpredictable. You basically want the 5 mg IR tabs for sociability/functionality. Oh and word to the wise, IR Dexedrine and a few drinks is an *amazing* cocktail for a party. Makes you extremely sociable without getting too amped or too sloppy.

The question in this thread only proves that a lot of drug addiction is caused by problems with functioning in society in the beginning.

In my opinion you should not use any stimulant. You may be just shy or you may suffer from some kind of social phobia. In either case stimulant use will quickly become abuse because if SomeStimulant helps you once, you will use it the second time, and there you go - you're in a dangerous loop. You will find yourself in the need of taking something every day, not on weekends because if you do something on Saturday, you will eventually start feeling crappy on Sunday, so you'll do "a line" on Sunday too, then you will feel like shit on Monday - voila, you break your rule you do it only on weekends. And maybe you need to go to school/work, this is going to make it difficult at some point. Daily drug administration will either cause social phobia eventually or terribly deepen already existing social phobia. And the other side effects depend on the drug you get stuck on. You don't actually have to get addicted to a stimulant to make it worse, it may be any drug. Sure, you may function superbly under the effects of SomeDrug even for years but eventually you will realize you're addicted and life sucks for real.

You will be in the same place you are now with your socializing problems but to do anything with it you will have to solve your drug problem first then. This is a dangerous path you want to choose for solving your problem. Think about all the time you may lose for this and the very same time you could devote to something that'd really help you find yourself comfortable among people without the use of drugs. Really, if you're now at point 0, then in, say 3 years, you're not going to be at +3 but rather at -3...

I don't totally condemn use of drugs. But you seem to be in a group of much higher risk than an average healthy person and in my humble opinion you should just take notice of that before getting yourself some monkey on your back. Safe using is hardly possible as you actually state from the beginning you're looking for something that you will definitely need to take daily. And taken daily any drug produces some problems in the long run, psychological and/or physical. With some amphetamine even with weekend use you will notice bad side effects shortly if you do it for like a year but then again, if you do it for a year, it'll become impossible to keep it only on weekends.

Sorry for this long disquisition on "how you can end up bad" but I think I'm not really far from truth here. I know how drugs can destroy sensitive people as I've seen it myself, and I've been there myself too when I heavily took opioids and benzodiazepines (nobody gave me a syringe with morphine solution in it, I started from taking codeine orally, then I i.m.'ed it and soon I had a contact I could get all pharmaceuticals available in the country and a lot more not available in Poland from). The final result after almost 10 years? I've been on a substitute for 1.5 years and it's the longest time with no real binge, yet I had "slip-ups", and during one year period I only managed to go from 16mg clonazepam down to 3mg clonazepam, the process is terribly slow and I get help from a physician only with this benzodiazepine problem.

I know you're far from that and you probably think you could never let something like that happen. I'll tell you something - I didn't think either.

Wish you you find some non-drug way to overcome your social anxiety problem.

Absolutely FANTASTIC post. If I could frame it, I would. I'm going to save this because I basically say the same thing to people who are about to start benzodiazepines for social anxiety, but you say it way better than I do.

I try to tell people in threads like these about how I've learned more about how to deal with anxiety and life (and the situations life throws at you) in the year off benzodiazepines than in like ten years of benzodiazepine therapy.
