what am i doing wrong with blunt wraps??

alright with papers and cigar shells i can roll with the best of them, but for some reason i always destroy blunt wraps. they always either rip, or wont seal. My latest disaster was a trueblunt candy apple. Shit ripped in half while rollin it up.

so im sure you guys can help. what do i need to know.

its wet when i open it, i assume it needs to stay somewhat wet to roll without ripping.

the only thing i can think of is that im rolling it too tight. are blunt wraps supposed to be rolled looser than papers?

all i want is to smoke a good blunt right now its pissin me off!

strange, i find rolling blunt wraps to be much easier than rolling swishers and papers. you're probably handling it too rough. if it wont seal, theres nothing a litte more saliva wont fix. and no theres nothing about blunt wraps that makes them need to be rolled looser

make sure you are using it with the correct side on the outside.
the outside side (side side side side) should be the side with the flavour on it.
ie the bit on the outside is the bit that touches ur lips.
so lick (if its flavoured) to find the side that you should have on the outside.

i used to roll em backwards, as thats how they come wrapped round that wee plastic tube in the packs.
but aye, the lighter side that looks like the skin of a cigar, is usually the outer side.
if in doubt, lick n see.

i used to spend lots on cigarillos etc for blunts.
now i just pick up a pack of Purple Haze or Cherry Vanilla or Wet Mango Royal Blunts wraps whenever i get a bag.
far easier to roll with and i like the flavaz

I've had the same problem, usually a small stem I left in the mix will come right out the side while I'm rolling. Make sure you use a good grinder and get all the stems out. You need to be more gentle with the wraps compared to your swisher/philly/optimo etc. I still like cracking and rolling, the wrap just seems to smoke much better to me, it gets more rigid and I just like the feel of it.

I rarely smoke blunts unless friends are over... what a waste of weed, especially if you are smoking chronic which is all I smoke.

i know its wasteful, but ive personally taken up a "tradition" for when i pick up a new batch of herb now.
the first thing i always do is buy a pack of wraps (Purple Haze royal blunts wrap is my fave),
and grind up a nug and roll up a bleezie.

smoke that shit to the face and im fucked beyond belief.
i guess you could say its how i "test" the batch :D

Sega, I know what you mean. Sometimes I will just get the urge and roll one up and face it by myself... kills me... I'm usually pretty useless for a while

I can think of two potential problems: 1. you're being too firm with the roll-up... you gotta finesse that shit, man, be gentle. The fresher/wetter the wrap the more gentle you have to be.

or 2. You're not quick enough and the wrap dries up and gets all crispy on you. To avoid this, break up the weed before you open the pack if you don't already.

[Edit: Actually, I thought of a third problem after I posted. 3. Make sure your weed is efficiently broken down/ground up. If you have a grinder then you're probably fine so long as you take out all the stems, but if you break down by hand you need to put some effort in breaking down. A gram of .2g nuglets isn't going to roll up as nicely as the same amount of shake.]

Much easier method: look for the glue strip (it's a lighter-colored, slightly shiny strip about a millimeter wide running longways down one of the edges of your roll-up). There's only four places it could be, it shouldn't take you long to find it. The side with the glue strip should be the inside of your blunt (i.e. put your weed there and roll up).

right on thanks guys.

i figured out the problem last night, and it was that i was being too rough. With papers i roll them super tight and with the blunt wrap if i roll it that tight it rips.

i also got a pack of wet mango wraps this time and they seem to be much higher quality than the last ones i tried with.

the flavour is wet mango. the brand is Royal Blunts

true blunt make good ones too.
juicy jays make full leaf wraps but ive not tried em yet, but its juicy jays so you know itll be bomb.
i think Kingpin blunts also make one thats maple syrup flavour and when you light it it makes the room reek of maple syrup

zigzag also make some but ive not tried.
i would steer away from Platinum Wraps as they aint that good.

yeah blunt wraps are fragile. but i think your biggest problem is that your rolling with blunt wraps haha. swishers make the best blunts imo.
