Hi I've had a dilaudid pushed in my IV after a procedure, it was 2. Mg felt amazing.
i take 3-5 10mg immediate release oxycodone for last 5 yrs. sometimes take a few more in a day or a few less, but that's my only history of opiate use and tolerance.
i filled an extra for 2mg dilaudid pills. I tried popping one, read about the bioavailability issue. So I tried crushing one chopping it like a line of coke and mixing w water, pulling up in a syringe I have for to IM testosterone injections so is 3 mg syringe. And having recently voided bowels, I plugged it. Nothing.
i moved on to IV. I have done IM and subcu injections for testosterone ex, so I'm fine w needles. Followed instructions. Couldn't hit a vein first 20 x. Tried inner elbow on left, inner wrist. Phlebotomist a often have problems hitting my veins. Have been told they "roll". Theyre hard to even make out visually. I finally got a hit of blood in syringe on inside wrist vein and pushed a solution of 3cc water mixed w one crushed 2mg slightly heated in spoon drawn thru a pea size cotton swab. I forgot to loosen the tourniquet before pushing tho. No affect. Maybe a little warmth in arm and head for a minute.
now I have a shit ton of bruises and marks just from trying my first time IV. This was yesterday. I was using 23g needles I use for IM I read this was too large and I hurt really bad wherever I injected but clean no abscess.
Today I tried again. This time I bought 3 bd insulin syringes 29g. I tried back of hand no luck finding vein. Finally poking around in inner elbow found one hit blood and pushed the same. Nothing.
finally I crushed three pills so 6 mg mixed w 3cc and plugged it.. NOTHING!
will someone please tell me something I may be doing wrong? I only took this drug once pushed in a post op IV in December . It felt amazing and killed my pain I had been screaming curled up and within minutes was sitting up talking and smiling. I can't imagine this is a tolerance issue as I just
plugged 3 x that amount.
please any suggestions or things you can tell is wrong from what
I've told you? This is crazy. I have about a week before a run out of oxy and two weeks til Rx, so 25 2mg dilaudids is all I have for next wk, and I'm trying to figure out a system that will work to take so I can treat my pain. I also am physically opiate dependent so I'm afraid of getting sick. And i do enjoy a but if a buzz?
i keep reading ding about what a rush when IV or plug Dilaudid, and it was in hospital, so I must be doing something incorrectly?
