just a mid level druggy from vegas hoping i can find some really fucked up/ strung out people to deter me from continuing my drug use while i'm still young.

how messed up are you all at this very second?
 
it's not so much any particular substance, i think i'm just slowly becoming addicted to being in a non-sober state. i do a lot of adderall, ecstasy and psychadelics, but i keep finding myself surrounded by people tweaking and its been making me think about whether or not this life is worth it.
 
Yeah I understand exactly where you are coming from. Once you are done with college age partying and have been in the real world(if there is such a thing) for a certain amount of time most of your drug taking friends are all weekend drinkers and go to watch their kids play soccer. I am 28 so I probably have a few years on you, and I try to be as safe as possible these days. Still party pretty hard but not at clubs and parties but I still explore with psychedelics/entactogens and am addicted to hydrocodone(prescribed).

Sure you're aware of this,but u live in the worst place in the world to be concerned/ questioning your drug use by what you see others abusing.

Its good to use it as a detterant. But nothing is written in the book that u have to follow their ways.

As for your intro Q) -im on40+ hrs of amphets,so quite fucked up.... But that doesnt mean u need to do it.

at first for me drugs were just a weekend thing and it was no problem keeping them as just that, but the course of the past few months its progressed to an every day/ every other day sort of thing.

why do you say it's the worst place?
do you guys think amphetamines are all the same, or some are worse than others?

My personal belief is that moderation is the key... there's nothing wrong with getting fucked up once in a while and being responsible about it... but if your fucked up all the time then your life is gonna be fucked up all of the time

I leaned this the hard way with a 4+ year iv dilaudud habit... now I only indulge once a month or so in anything cept herb... life is good now :)
 
amphetamines effect different people in different ways. So its hard to answer that. I mysef use street amps,have used dex in the past but not quite the same as glass.
The weekend warrior becoming addicted,or dependant on there DOC is typical of most addictions. Some drugs will creep up on you,whereas others will grab you by the nuts nad you see it coming,feel it happening,but few can stop it.

Your at the see it coming stage. And the worst place for it quote refered to the drug scene in vegas.the opportunity and availabilty often encourages abuse.

My meth addiction started as weekend benders,non stop fri night to sunday late...but eventually i would use monday mornings in order to not miss work,then tuesday and then wednesday,and the rest is history...

Trouble with amps is you can work and function,usually better than normal so that would justify my use..
