Opioids went to the e.r., dont got enough pills to last me through weekend,help!

So i went to the e.r. last nite cuz i ran out of my script. I had them look at my toe too, bcs its been in pain for weeks. Turns out is severly infected hangnail on both sides, and there going to need to cut off the cellitus(infected blistered skin) and remove the toenail. I was totaly honest qbout my dr being out of town and i ran out of my script,'she gave me 15 percocet 5s. I told her this wouldnt last me all weekend. She told me"well take one every 6 hours" i told her i usually take 10 mgs every 6 hours. So she said call a pediotrist, maybe he will give me painkillers, and to stay off my leg. So today i called 4 pediotrists, none of them were open. Im almost out of percs again .ill be out tomorrow. So what do i do now? Dr will not be back till tuesday, i just went to the e.r., and been taking 2 percs every 6 hours instead of 1. ( bcs 1 doesnt do much for me,ive been on it for months) whats ur suggestion? Mind i cant smoke weed, so plz no replies with "smoke some bud dude" if i get piss tested by my dr they will stop giving me painkillers all together. And if i got to a pain managment clinic they require a piss test, so i will fail with weed.

My moms bf can get me methodone 10mg ,but how do i take this if i take 40mg of percs a day? Can i still take my xanax on this?

combine it with ibuprofen, naproxen, diclofenac, or aspirin (anti-inflammatories, reduce swelling) and/or topical lidocaine (local anesthetic). dont use only narcotics for pain control.

If they drug test u, methadone could show up as an illegal opioid in the sense it's not scribed for you. If you do take methadone be mindful as its full effects do not kick in until 3-5 hours post dose and methadone is rather potent, and tricky since the effects take so long to kick in it creeps up on you instead of being hit all at once. Very very easy to OD on especially if combined with Valium, Xanax and the like. Methadone generally viewed as having a 24 hour half life. With no tolerance I'd say 5 mg every three hours or a max of ten mg in a 12 hour period, with a tolerance I'd say 10-20 mg once every 12 hours(seeking pain control no euphoria). Also use Motrin or other OTC analgesics whichever best works for you.

Look into kratom if you have that it stores around you. Kratom is rather short acting I find so you will have to dose a lot more freq but it can help with pain, and WDs. Kratom almost never shows up on DTs.

Other than that, your going to have to just ride it out. If your dependent on opiates I'd def hold off till taking the Oxy until night so I could sleep and make time go by faster and be uncomfortable during the day.

If you can get a hold of methadone though, problem solved. It lasts a hell of a lot longer than Oxy and is stronger. Just be very careful with it due to how it works, rather slowly.

I'd say seed or pod tea, but if you're tested, you show up positive for morphine, which you aren't prescribed. Idk, man. I think you just need to ration your remaining. Take it only when you absolutely can't stand the pain. Other than procuring some oxy illegally, you don't have many options.

If you have xanax, a lot of people get by just using that to combat the withdrawal, especially if it's only for a little bit until you get your script. Benzos are quite good for opiate withdrawal.

Benzodiazepines don't really do jack shit for me during opioid withdrawal, but of course, that doesn't keep me from using them as if they did. When your in WD, your inner beast comes out and you see yourself for who you've become, how dependent on the drug you are, and whether you're headed down the right path.


I know this probably is the last thing your thinking about, but try to find a silver lining. I'm a chronic pain patient too, and an addict. When I run out, I often get some epiphanies or otherwise notice something that the opioids allow you to overlook underlying problems.

Just my $0.02... If this thread turns into a how-to-get-prescribed anything like that, this thread will be closed since addicts will abuse the system and in the end just make things 10x harder for us chronic pain patients to get the compassionate health we deserve, as explained in the OD Guidelines (link in my signature).

sounds like you took more than you were directed to. You absolutely can't do that.

If tolerance has gone up from whatever your pain mgmt doctor has prescribed, then you need to get with your pain mgmt doctor so he can raise your baseline. Otherwise sticking to the prescribed dose still leaves you in pain. However that doesn't work if you disregard the dose and/or binge to get euphoria.

a side note - I have no idea the severity of your toe issue that has been in pain for weeks, or your pain level. It's possible that it's some rare, debilitating toe injury with excruciating chronic pain. If that is the case PLEASE disregard what I'm about to say = On the surface that sounds like some weak drug-seeking bullshit, stop being a pussy over a bad toe and limp it off, it's playyaz out here with real physical nightmares that stick to the prescribed dosage and/ or don't even take pain medicines because of the cognitive requirements for work.

Methadone usually peaks around 3-6 hours post dose. If your used to taking 30-60 mg of Oxy daily then 5 mg of methadone will mostly just help in combating WDs. Even though you took 5 mg you might only get 2-4 mg of active methadone in your bloodstream due to absorption. I would wager for pain relief you'd prob need around 20 mg of methadone with your tolerance.

You mentioned methadone - that is also used for the treatment of pain. You could give it a careful try.

Bitch i got hit by a car in october, my leg was broken in 7 places, my back got all fucked up. Thats why i was on the percocet. Now the "drug seeking" toe was at the e.r. confirmed , u want a picture, look up infected ingrown toenail. I got two puss ballons on my toe, and my nail is growing into my toen nail and constanly bleeding and hurts. So that doesnt help. I havent got to pain managment yet due to my insurence. And when i say i got hit by a car. I WAS A PEDISTRIAN AND THE FUCKER HIT ME GOING 50mph! The shit hurt! Im not just "getting a high from pills" im trying to live everyday life without blowing my brains out. And honestly in this pain im sure other ppl who r in chronic pain can agree with me that somethimes maybe life looks bleak if thos is wat u got to go through! Just saying!

Aren't you the dude who's leg was injured months ago where a car hit your leg ? If so I gave you some good advice in the other thread.

I have to be honest, an infected ingrown toenail isn't what I would categorize as a severe painful injury requiring moderate levels of narcotic opioids. I'm probably coming off as a dick, but it sounds like your doctor(whose prescription you ran out of), and the ER doctor(who thought 5mgs every 6hrs out of 15pills would get you through) agree. I also have no idea - if you are the dude from the other thread who "almost died" being hit by car why your ingrown toenail was the injury being treated by the ER doctor. Why not your severe chronic injuries ??
They could be wrong. I could be wrong. Maybe it's just hard to convey information online and there is a communication issue going on here. People also have varying opinions about what constitutes severe pain.

regardless, I once again advise you to not take more than the prescribed dosage from your doctor or ER.
If the dosage is not enough, you need to discuss that with your doctor. That way they can adjust the baseline without you every having to run out. Same goes for going out of town and notifying your physician so you don't miss your refill appointment.

Soak your toe in super hot water with dissolved epsom salts. You can buy those otc for a dollar.

I used to have ingrown toe problems all the time, including multiple times when the infection got so bad I couldn't walk and I ended up having the podiatrist cut out pieces of my nail and infected toe. I eventually had to get more than half of the nailbed on my big toe removed via chemical cauterization.

All of this happened before I was 15 years old and they didnt give me any narcotics. I am still alive.

IMO, 10mg of percoset wouldn't do much for a infected toe. I would be more concerned about treating that infection than obtaining a few pain pills.

You overused your prescribed meds and getting more from alternate sources, mixing with Xanax too.

Why would you expect any podiatrists to be open on a Saturday anyway, especially for a first time visit?
