A drug testing service in Wales has become the first of its kind in the UK.
Run by Public Health Wales, the government-funded Wedinos project has been launched to tackle the increase in legal highs and psychoactive substances while identifying and testing the chemicals which are circulating throughout Wales.
Mainly aimed at health and substance misuse workers in the country, the service, which launched in October 2013, is also available to the public who can send samples anonymously without the risk of it being traced back to the sender.
Welsh Health Minister Mark Drakeford believes the service is imperative for the health of young people.
"It's essential intelligence for our health workers, for our substance misuse workers, for the police, for young people and their families. By providing timely and accurate information this service can save lives."
It emerged in September last year that the number of young people in Britain to try legal highs was "the highest figure in Europe" while they've been found to be sold in petrol stations, takeaways and newsagents around the UK.
This follows a Home Office-funded drugs testing unit at The Warehouse Project last year.

The Warehouse Project scheme fell apart quite quickly, I believe. Someone failed to complete their research...
