Can you mix it with E? Does it cause seizures?

The two are not a good combination at all, and it could be dangerous. I would stay away from it entirely

Wellbutrin will block your roll, making you feel nothing but side effects... and since MDMA lowers the seizure threshold, there is a chance of that as well. It's not worth finding out.

You're going to need to take a two week break from the drug for that to even be able to happen. If you try now you're risking serious complications and you won't even get high.



Don't just stop taking the drug though. You'll go through withdrawals, and that isn't safe at all either.

Take 3/4 of your normal dose for 3 days, then half your normal dose for 3 days, then 1/4 of your normal dose for 3 days, then stop taking it for a week. After that, you should be able to at least feel something, but if you've been on it for long enough you may never be able to roll.. at all... Sorry

I just started taking it. It hasn't even had it's full benefits yet but I already love wellbutrin and feel like maybe I don't need drugs anymore. I am a hardcore drug abuser who has done it all, but now, hmmmm.You dig? However, I know people say you can't roll on SSRIS (even though wellbutrin isn't one) I have rolled on SSRIS b4, and hard, so it's not always accurate. ANd they were pure.

I cant see anything obvious that would suggest its very dangerous to mix with E but it seems there are a few things to be aware of.

I have no first hand experience of taking this drug or mixing it with E so I hunted a few threads. Here are a few quotes that seem relevant.

I was on Wellbutrin for 8 months and I found that I rolled a hell of a lot harder on it. I started cutting my doses in half because I rolled almost too hard.
It lowered my tolerance to E, psychedelics, alcohol, weed and meth... And I have friends who take Wellbutrin and regularly roll and they roll a lot harder off a lot less than the rest of us... *shrug*

Theoretically you should roll harder because it inhibits the reuptake of serotonin, but more so of dopamine. I've heard a lot of conflicting reports, however, so I figured I would do some research. For those who didn't roll as hard on Wellbutrin, is it possible that you didn't roll hard because you were depressed already at the time? Also, how long did you take the Wellbutrin before you took the Ecstasy?

There are several reasons why you may have a fantastic or lousy trip on wellbutrin and E. One you are on too high a dose of wellbutrin and have elevated seratonin levels ie your brain is used to being flooded with seratonin. Two you may not have any seratonin in your brain requiring you to take LARGE quantities of E to even trip (not advised). Or Three your medication is working like it should and you take some E trip hard and then start from square one after your done with your trip and your brain dumps months of hard earned seratonin out the window.

Does it cause seizures?

Comment extract from the WIKI article. Yes seizures seem very possible from this drug if abused.

There have been four reports of bupropion abuse in the literature. Three cases described teenagers crushing and insufflating (snorting) the drug, two of them resulting in seizures.

On a final note if you are suffering from a depression related illness then I would suggest a big decision and risk analysis before choosing to take MDMA.

It wont help your depression.

It may well make the depression a lot worse.

Always be very cautious when mixing drugs with MDMA which is a potent enzyme inhibitor and when mixed with certain drugs has the potential to cause long term mental health problems.
