I'm currently taking wellbutrin xl 300mg for depression and it really sucks, i hate this shit.. I'm irritable as hell on it and If I don't eat (which is easy because wellbutrin makes you not want to eat anything) I get head rushes like every 5 minutes and headaches, not to mention my mouth becomes stupid dry when i blaze.. Anyways, im going back down to 150mg on the sr version to try it out and see if it helps better. The only problem I've been having on wellbutrin is the previously stated and really bad anxiety (i have minor general anxiety and wellbutrin just makes it worse). Next time i see my doc should i ask her to prescribe me a SNRI like seroquel for the depression and anxiety? Any suggestions what i should ask for if the wellbutrin doesn't work out? Mainly looking for something to help me relax, make me not so depressed all the time, as well as making me more sociable like i used to be.

sry if this is the wrong section to post this.

I've heard of Seroquel being considered an SNRI; somebody correct me if I'm mistaken. We can't know what specific medication will or will not help. It's pretty hit or miss with antidepressants and people seem to have just about any kind of reaction to them.

If you're getting constant head rushes then that's certainly something to bring up. People react differently to all medications. I use 300mg Wellbutrin XL and I maybe feel a bit more anxiety; I'm not sure. But head rushes, irritability, headaches, etc., seem to indicate that it may not be the best one for you.
