about a month ago i started taking xanax @ 1mg a day every day. i want to get off and my doctor put me on a taper plan. she immediately cut my dose in half to .5mg everyday for 3 days, then she said to take half for the next 3 days so .25 every day for 3 days. then 1/4 of a pill or .125 for 4 days.

if the .125 dose even necessary or could i just stop after taking .25 for 3-4 days? assuming that i feel fine. i just dropped the dose to .25 and i feel fine. took it an hour ago.

I would stick to what your doctor suggested if I were you! Safe bet!

FDA / Manf directions for Klonlpin is to cut 0.125 every three days. Alprazolam is a different beast. Look around, as you've done here for advice your doc may not have heard about. Best of luck, it can suck, just don't go of the taper even for a day. It's not worth it for a day of a disappointing effect, or you may take a lot and put yourself back.

Sort of off topic, flubromazolam besides being wicked potent has a long ass half-life. Had to skip work today, after taking 4-mg last last night. That was 4x the dose I needed. I'm not a blackout person. But I recall very little of yesterday. I've been taking benzos 20 years, and this still caught me off guard and I knew better. Be careful folks.
