Considering "sin" and "hell" are not budist supported concepts I think this person should work on real budist concepts to treat their mental illness.

This honestly to me is, has been, and always will be bullshit. 100% a means to control people by their fears of the unknown so they don't live the life they would like too in the attempt to further said religion.
