Misc Welbutrin...recreational??

IMO, it's not at all recreational. It can be a great psychiatric med if it's prescribed correctly, but I feel like caffeine's more recreational than Wellbutrin....
 
well i experimented again with welbutrin today guys at a dose of 150 mgs..within a few hours i felt a very noticeable mood lift, increased energy, definitely more social and awake, interested in people, places and things..i was more focused as well almost to the point of getting lost in thought...this is NOt a placebo effect but at the same time it isnt a 'high' either..it is just a very functional 'feel up' type feeling..i later combined with neurontin and it was a very nice overall feeling, calm and energized..also the huge benefit i see with welbutrin over other stims is there is NO crash or bottom out period from what i have experienced..

again i not getting high on welbutrin but it most definitely provides me with some great effects such as increased energy, better mood, pro-social, confidence, increased sex drive...it does make me more jittery though which can be easily be squashed by 20 mgs inderal..
 
increased sex drive eh? never heard of an anti-depressant causing that!

Please be careful about adding inderal (i believe this is propanolol) with things that make you feel stimulated, that's not what it's supposed to be used for and can cause problems when mixing with other drugs.
 
^^i take inderal for high blood pressure..

yes i believe Welbutrin is the only anti-d that is known for boosting sex drive..it is very noticeable in the beginning..
 
A far as anti-depressants to, bupropion is probably the most recreational one I have tried (but that's not saying much). If you have a low tolerance to stimulants, you most likely will feel a slight mood lift and increased stimulation. However, be careful with dosing. People have seizures at therapeutic dosages (it was taken off the market for this reason at some point, then re-released).

I think the majority of bupropion abuse occurs in prison, used as a meth substitute or something (it's not!). I would be curious to know that if you were somehow able to consume enough anti-seizure medication that would ensure you 100% that you would seize, if taking very large dosages of bupropion would feel similar to other amphetamine's, cathinones and stimulants in general. However, that's a pipe dream, don't fuck around with this stuff.
 
Yes, don't take the drug for recreational purposes. I am prescribed to the pill, and they are 150mg each. One day I decided to take four of these before school awhile ago, and it wasn't a pretty day. I felt anxious, and just didn't wanna be around anybody. Borderlining panic attacks all day. Pick a different drug, like Ritalin.
 
People crush "wellies" in the jail here and sniff them. It's typically the tweakers who like it. It gets you high for about 10-20 minutes and burns like a motherfucker. I tried it a couple times, the first 2 times I actually got high and mixed it with about 3000mg of neurotin and was really fucked up. For some strange reason, I could never get high off them again and all that filler would fuck up my nose so I quit doing it.
 
I tried wellbutrin for depression once...
It did provide a lil mood lift, but made me very aggressive/borderline violent. I have a temper but normally dont loose my cool, on this i was like angry?
 
In jail people pay quite a bit of commisary for a wellbutrin.. They crush em and snort em. They say it's like coke but I personally have never tried it because I highly doubted it. They sure looked tweaked though.
 
OK, when I was in a treatment center, kids were taking wellbutrin and snorting it. I tried it myself, and I got pretty high, but it doesn't last very long. It also damages your nose to an extreme. I do agree that it feels like coke, but for maybe 20 minutes. I don't recommend this drug whatsoever for recreational use.
 
isn't this the same substance that's in chantix?

just wondering cuz somebody wrote that they felt angry and agressive
after they injested it..

and i had a friend who used chantix to try to quit smoking..but ended up quitting chantix instead..
since it made him so pissed all the time..for no reason..
I've known him for years..he'd never been angry like that in front of me before..
night and day.

^Nope, Chantix is varenicline, Zyban is bupropion. Varenicline affects the brain differently from bupropion. Was he quitting smoking at the same time? I know that can make people irritable :) But it's certainly possible for that might be a side-effect of the varenicline as well.

Bupropion does seem to make some people quite irritable, especially when they first start taking it.

honestly at this point i have no idea what welbutrin is even doing for me at this point..it still makes me feel activated but not really in a good way...hmm not sure how much longer i will stay on it..plus, the intial boost in sex drive has basically backfired at this point...wtf..
 
From my experience. It is slightly recreational from some...also the ROA depends on your condition. If taken orally it works mostly on dopamine (reutake) not releaser like adderall. People with ADD/ADHD will find this stimulating, since dopamine causes stimulation in those. For Others like myself, it just makes me tired. If snorted, it works more on nor-epinephrine which causes stimulation in me, but will make a person with ADD/ADHD tired. Overall, if you are looking for euphoria, well, its not there. I guess my years of opiates have changed my views having experinced true euphoric drugs. I would say if done right it is simmilar to pseudoehedrine + caffeine. Good energy boost, but too much and you need a benzo. Also, The seizure threshold is over dramatized. Yes, it lowers it, and those prone to seizures should not mess with any drug that lowers it. However, if you arent mixing it or taking it at higher dosages with something like Klonopin then your chances are equal to having a seizure off paxil, prozac, lexapro of any other anti-depressant. At 300mg or less .2% siezure risk....if you need more than that, then you are using the wrong ROA for your condition. Im new on here, sorry my first post was a thread bump.
 
It's like a very mild dose of speed, but nothing more.
Made me more productive.
 
I have quite a bit of experience with wellbutrin and i know for me it gets me high... sort of like amphetamines. I snort them and usually the first and few times after insufflating them your nasal passages become blocked. Ive snorted as many as 15 pills in one day. (or night i should say) theres a mild euphoria, but mostly like amphetamines.

i usually find my cutoff limit whenever my vision becomes blurry. my SO and i use these almsot every weekend. the reason being drug tests weekly. Limited to only a certain variety of drugs.

this is my experience and hope it helps someone.
 
Please don't abuse Wellbutrin. Snorting multiple pills is very bad for your body.

Wellbutrin is an antidepressant and works differently than speed.

You run all sorts of risks like seizures to suicidal thoughts that are intense.

Please don't abuse this medication.
