So a while back I had been drinking everyday for like a few weeks, yes I know bad Idea. But when I decided to stop I had really bad reaction. The thing is to my understanding normal withdrawal you get like seizures and tremors.

While I did get tremors to some degree I had really weird other things. Like I ended up not being able to walk and if I did I would just shake really bad and collapse, also couldn't even eat the shaking was so bad. But if I was just layind down I wouldn't shake, only if I tried doing something. This lasted for a few days. The thing is, it got worse over like a few days. Like when they would take a lot of blood the shaking would get worse and I'd feel much worse, or when they did anything that was stressful, eventually it did go away.

The doctors were really confused and did all types of tests to see if something was going on like virus or something but didn't show anything. They ended up just saying it was withdrawals but I know it wasn't normal.

The thing is.. I still will get this weird shaking if I drink a lot the previous night.
Also... my mom had this weird shaking and ended up not being able to do anything. It started slowly like she wasn't able to walk, and she used a walker, and then it eventually affected her whole body and had to be fed and moved physically for anything. She never did much of any drugs or drink I should add.
My symptoms were just like my moms, but hers was slowly over many years, but the doctors also had no explanation and did even more tests on her. It started for her when she had.. this like panic attack and then she just started shaking and it just got worse after that.

It's scary and I'm not sure what it is... Maybe this shouldn't be in this section, I'm not sure. Just am confused as to what's going on or what it could be? Maybe thought someone might know?
thanks

I also get this when drinking caffiene too, like bad shaking. So I should say that it's not alcohol withdrawal..

Yeah, it was scary when it happened to me too. It's a nasty jittery feeling and you don't feel right at all. I drank 15 units a night for almost a year, and I can tell you now I drank only to stop that feeling. I personally did a resi detox but it took quite a long time to feel back to normal. If you feel back to normal, well done because you've dodged a bullet there. Physical dependence to booze can occur surprisingly soon, and the shakes are a classic alcohol withdrawal symptom.

I drink once a month at the most now. It's strange; the day after I drink, I feel calm and relaxed but for the following 48 hrs I always get a less intense version of that edgy, jittery feeling.
