Weird thoughts while rolling?

History: Been using MDMA for about 10 years and always kept my use moderate. Never heavily abused, went through mini phases, but not enough to lose the magic. I would say I am a moderate user, once a month at the most, with 3 month breaks from time to time as well.

Ever have an MDMA trip where people turn into aliens and zombies and get all freakish, like beyond just fun freaky, but REALLY freaky?
This happened to me over Halloween weekend, I was at an intimate music festival where I knew and felt comfortable with everyone there. The MDMA was top quality, and I havent rolled in a couple of months. While I was at the peak, I felt extra love and empathy like normal, the music sounded great, people were very conscious and friendly. Of course its a Halloween fest so things are going to be extra freaky, but this has happened other times as well.

I did eat a gram of mushrooms the previous night of the fest, but I am very comfortable with shrooms and they never effect my mind poorly.

Its like you come up, and you are loved up and feeling the groove, but instead of feeling like nothing is annoying you and everytime you bump into someone it feels pleasurable, you start to feel different. Kind of annoyed, a little off, having fun but suddenly everyone just looks scary. They are all high, too of course. Suddenly you question why everyone is doing this drug, WTF is going on? People become alien and fake like, and you get sensitive to big pupils as if they are frightening. Its like I cant let loose....Maybe its a high dose thing? I took about 250-300 mg thruout the night.....

This is super common with mushrooms, but not MDMA. Just sometimes once in a great while, I have an MDMA trip that gets toooo weird.

Sometimes i think its all in my head, because the night after this one I took MDMA again, a smaller dose maybe 100 mg, and it felt like a normal trip. Maybe I conquered the demons so to speak by the third night?

I know partying for 3 nights is very bad, but I only do it once or twice a year.
Does the Freaky Trip happen because I have been using MDMA for years and maybe its time to back off, or does anyone else get a weird roll from time to time?
I know its NOT the quality of the molly itself, because like i said the night after I ate the same stuff and it was fine.
I just am curious if others get strange trippy feelings sometimes?
 
My friends shroomed out day 1 of an event and rolled on the night of day 2 and they had the same thing happened to them where they thought they saw zombies and shit but they just went along with it and still had a good time. That never happened to me before but im thinking its all in your head, as long as youre feeling good right? haha
 
You really cant expect to party for three days, take a load of mushrooms the night before and then be able to have a super clean roll. Maybe your just overdoing things /taking too much etc

I've had experiences similar but not from MDMA alone but you can have a wierd roll where you just dont feel comfortable in your usual comfortable space.
 
I think your shroom trip contributed to making your MDMA roll more weird. Stuff like this can happen when you use other 'psychedelic' substances 24 hours after coming down from shrooms and LSD.

For instance, smoking pot the day after doing LSD sometime feels a little different for me.
 
shrooms always make my rolls harder, shrooms affect serotonin as well
 
Shrooms may have something todo with it. . but When I go to massives by the end of the event EVERYONE LOOKS LIKE A ZOMBIE . Its a common term I use .. we basically are like zombies . We don't look pretty when your rolling face. . I started to notice this at the event I attend .. when it was over everyone was lost like a ZOMBIE and couldn't find the exit cops and security had to help every one out. The crowd was so fucked up they were running into the walls... I was like WTF EVERY ONE LOOKS LIKE A ZOMBIE.
 
Well I haven't ever noticed anything like THAT, but sometimes when I roll and I see everyone looking crazy my anxiety kicks in thinking I look ugly and stuff. But then my freinds make me feel better and we chill out and control ourselves lol
 
I get the zombie/alien-face thing with just tested mdma pills alone. Both times when I took 2 clean pills. At the end of one night on the comedown I was cuddling with my friend and when I looked up at his face I flippin freaked. He had these like apathetic zombie eyes, his face looked unnaturally square and his nose was all sucked in. I didn't understand why he looked like an alien but I calmed myself down and attributed it to the good mdma.

The other time my cousin seemed to have a fish head like her head was a fish and she had the zombie eyes. When I looked in the mirror I had a huge forehead with big buggy alien eyes and my hair looked strange.

I am really curious about this because I never expected to get this from e and that's why I panicked especially the first time.
 
Your just fucked up by the end of a long night of rolling. At the begining of the night everyone looks cute and hot but after a long night of sweating, continuous pill consuming you'll look tired and flused with huge bat pupils, by 5am you will not look so pretty you are on drugs. You just cant help it, mdma is nice and lovely but it has its drugie effects .



I went to a get together rolling party (don't really like them for this reason ) and every one looks so fucking ugly there was some weird Guy doing push ups, and a kid who got really fucked up and was making the scariest faces made me trip out. . ewwwwffff never again some ppl just get weird when rolling.

And at festivals every one is out of there damn mind
 
Yep the shrooms rewired your brain and thought patterns so when you were sober the next day things seemed pleasant and refreshed. But when you added the mdma it added too much of a psychedelic perspective to things because of the shrooming the night before. Should have waited a few days at least before dosing mdma
 
All great points, and good to hear of others experiences. It helps perspective for the next crazy round....lets make sure that crazy round doesnt happen again for a long time..haha....sure is fun though, even if thoughts get strange. Its just funny how sometimes my confidence with these drugs I feel like superwoman, and other times it just....gets.....freaky!!
The descriptions of the forehead and alien stuff you guys described is exactly what I see.
Gotta just accept it if I am going to partay like that.
I just talked to my boyfriend about it today. He doesnt party anymore, but he still goes to the festivals sometimes. He said, "Oh yeah, I see that too, and Im not on anything. I call Saturday nights at festivals "alien face night"" Hilarious!
I am sure its just magnifyed on drugs.
I think MDMA buffers certain things, and enhances certain things, and sometimes those things flip around and play opposite on your mind.
