In my head less and less.
I have a favorite vein. In fact, it's pretty much the only vein I can use because I have small (VERY SMALL) veins. Anyway, its starting to register differently.

I heard rumors that veins can get holes in them. It pretty much feels the same though but maybe I am only getting a portion of the shot.

Instead of gushing in there like it use to, it just kinda of squirts in there. I know you know what I mean. Only squirts when I pull back, too. It use to gush in there without even having to pull back.

So wussup? I know the vein is spent but not blown. I leave 1-2 weeks of healing time in between parties.

Lemme know! Thanks!

alright. how often are you using this spot each time you break out the works?

sounds like some scar tissue build up from that description.

well unless you're puncturing the scar tissue and through to the vein correctly there is definitely going to be some boundaries of your shot from registering to fully hitting as well as missing some.

now i know what a "couple times" is every session for a somewhat seasioned IV user so can assure you that uou need to rotate sites and veins in between sessions more frequently if you are indeed having scar tissue buildup.

making sure your tecghnique is down pat too.

^ It's always been that way for me - Curse of the Shitty Veins strikes again, probably :\

I agree with Lefty, sounds like scar tissue - it'll get worse if you keep using the same spot and it ends up almost impossible to use (and hurts like fuck) when the damage builds up enough. Best to circulate sites very regularly - especially if your veins aren't so great to start off with. It's probably the one piece of HR advice I'd like to give myself if I could go back in time cos my veins are screwed now :|

I've only heard of blood rushing in without registering if you hit an artery. sometimes mine comes in slower too but its still works for me and doesn't cause a miss. sometimes it squirts and sometimes it just fills the syringe slowly if You get what I mean. as long as its not swelling up and doesn't hurt its probably not missing.

I think he means blood is 'rushing' in because there is a bit of air in the rig creating a vacuum.. This happens to me as well and I am definitely not hitting arteries.

^that's most likely the cause of the rushing blood, though sometimes i get blood rushing in without the need to register or there being a vacuum. most probably high blood pressure:\

Yeah it often rushes in without having to pull back. It's definitely not an artery. Thanks for the advice, but I do not have other veins to hit. I can deep sea dive on one part, but it usually takes several tries.

When I first started, blood would seep in slowly on its own, now a days I have to pull back on the plunger a bit. If its pouring in like you attached a hose to the rig, you got some problems.

Poor technique like air in the rig or a injecting too close to the knot will force blood in like that ime

edit: in my response to the op, i would definitely seek out a friend to inject you into other veins before you do permanent damage. Dually noted i believe your injecting into the same location area not just the same vein, try working your way up and down the vein if you absolutelly cannot find another option.
