so this morning, I decided to take my shot in my foot, where I used to do it pretty often when I first used IV with no real problems. I registered just fine, and put in about 70 units, when i felt a burning sensation going through my foot, not unlike the one I usually get from leg shots, but stronger, I wiped with alcohol right away and soaked the foot in hot water and rubbed the injection site, the weird thing is the burning itchy sensation went down my foot as well as up the leg toward the big toe(I injected at my ankle where the foot becomes leg). The left side of my right foot felt like pins and needles and swelled up a bit. I got pretty worried, I then elevated my foot and several min later the swelling started going down, but it was scary. I still have slight pins and needles like 20 min later, but swelling is gone down quite a bit. I know not to regularly use my legs/feet, but anyone have any idea what happened? how long should i keep elevated? did the swelling happen because I possibly slipped out the vein and the hot water was dissapating the H and spread it into my foot? the dope is pretty clean for tar, when I cook it, i heat the water slightly, not boil, then stir and when i suck up through cotton it leaves very little residue. I used the mmc international test and the stuff tested in the 80% range, plus i have shot this batch many times with no issues. i will stay away from feet, but wtf happened?

Also, curious what best veins are in order top 10.

I'm actually wondering its bean 3 days and what u described is what I had.
1.the one were ur arm bends
2.the ones on ur forearm. between the bend and the armpit
3. The ones in ur arm pit
4.the ones in ur upper leg
5.lower leg
6.lower arm
7.neck(careful)
8.hands
9.fingers
10.feet
I have used them all but 6-10 are worse case senerio

Did you use a tourniquet? If so did you release it after registering? It is always recommended that you do but I find sometimes when I release it after registering and before pushing I come out of the vein. When I inject in the foot and don't release the tourney I get a burning sensation throughout the whole foot until it's taken off. Also do you know if you missed any of your shot? Did you get a rush? A partial miss would account for the swelling. If the area becomes red and hot to the touch I would seek a doctor as it's likely to be an abcess forming. Otherwise if the swelling has gone down and you are no longer in pain then it should be okay. Also the 1-10 list.... Not sure why the above poster put neck at 7 and feet at 10. Stay AWAY from your neck. The complications there can be fatal.

Could be extravasation, infiltration, a small haematoma... Unless you have thrombotic complications or an infection these will likely sort themselves out. If you're concerned and this does not go away within the day you should really get yourself to a doctor. People on here, even if they have any medical expertise, cannot see and examine you so cannot tell you what's up. And ^ is correct, if you feel it get hot to the touch, red, hot and there is pain you need to get to a+e pronto...

went away in a couple hours. i did tie off. did not release till after shot. its fine now no bruising even
