Weird reaction to LSD and Cannabis

So last night SWIM wanted to test the strength of some LSD, so he took 1/4 of a blotter tab (about 50 ug) at 10:00pm. He didn't feel any effects for hours so he went home around 3:00 am and smoked a big bowl to help sleep. Well he immediately started to trip. His thoughts were racing, had intense closed and open-eye visuals, and felt extremely anxious (likely because he didn't expect to start tripping). Well his left arm started to tingle slightly and feel sort of tense, and he experienced classic vasoconstriction, which he read is common with LSD, this was a little worrying, but he waits out the trip and eventually falls asleep. He woke up today about 5 hours later. He feels like his thoughts feel sluggish, he doesn't feel all "together", sort of distant and depersonalized. His arm also still feels strange and tingles slightly. He's pretty experienced with psychedelics, but not so much with LSD. He's also never had a bad reaction like that to cannabis or LSD, so he's a little worried. Is this day after feeling common? Also could there be any chance of nervous system damage, or something like that? He doesn't want to make a big deal out of it, for the most part he feels completely fine, it hasn't been 24 hours yet, and he's only running on 5 hours of sleep. What do you guys think? Is everything good to go, or should he be worried at all?

Thanks!!

This actually doesn't sound like a weird reaction to me. He took acid and has not even been 24 hours and he only slept for 5 hours. He should go to sleep for a long time to fully sleep it off. He's probably fine and when he wakes up he will most likely not feel sluggish. It does not sound like there was any "brain damage" to me, although it is possible like the other poster said that his reaction to pot may be altered especially now. If he smokes any weed now, the trip will probably kick back in which may frighten him if he is not expecting it. He doesn't seem to be having any sort of serious problems and I think that it's important that he not become paranoid about lasting after effects because that's where you can psych yourself up and run into trouble. There may have been some level of alterations in his thinking and perceptions that could last for a while so that should be expected. It sounds like he simply had a very powerful experience the other night. Also, this is likely another version of "ego death" and one day he will likely view this experience as having benefited him in some way
