Weird reaction to hydrocodone/oxycodone

Over the past few weeks SWIM has been taking 20-40mg a day of 5/325 oxy and 10/325 hydros. The weird reaction thing is that they're getting very little pleasure, and a weird feeling like their head is all congested (like with bad sinus cold). SWIM figured this might be bc of low dose, and upped to taking 15-20 at once a couple of times. Very little feel-goodiness, just more pressure in head an sensation of being short of breath SWIM would typically only get with much higher dose.

Pill markings are correct, but wondering if they're online pharmacy knockoffs or something. If SWIM goes too long without taking any SWIM gets mildly sick, so there's clearly some opiate-like thing in them.

Only prescription rx is 300mg Wellbutrin XL.

Anyone else had an experience like this? Any thought on how to push through to get some pleasure? Mixing w/ Klonopin helps a bit. I'm a bit nervous about upping dosage given uncharacteristic reaction. Is it possible to be allergic to binder in only some versions of a pill? Can hydro, oxy or APAP trigger migraines (while high, not rebounds)?

No one can tell you if you're taking "online pharmacy knockoffs". Obviously any website that is selling Oxy or Hydrocodone without requiring a prescription is sketch.

Opiates cause respiratory depression. That is not uncommon or weird. Opiates can also cause headaches.

If your usual dose isn't cutting it, it's most likely because you've developed a tolerance to that dose. There's tons of info here: The Ultimate Opiate Potentiation Thread v2.0 . Check it.

It's not that my usual does isn't cutting it - even starting out after doing nothing for a few months the feeling with these was different than usual (more body load, less good feeling etc). They came from normally reliable source, but who knows where before that. I'm sure I'm just being crotchety hyperchindriac, but I figured I would ask. Thanks fir the response.

Sorry new here. I'm also realizing this question is probably one of those open ended/speculative ones that's impossible to answer. I'm just going to try new batch/upping dose/potenriating and see where that takes me. Sorry about that.

Consider looking into possible interactions between Wellbutrin (Bupropion) and Oxycodone or Hydrocodone prior to upping your dose. According to this, there is an increased risk of seizure and serotonin syndrome associated with taking Oxycodone and Bupropion together.
