Heroin Weird reaction to heroin

I took a shot of some new dope last night around 12. After shooting I got intense pins and needles, my head began to feel like it was about to explode with every heart beat. My heart was also beating really fast and my ears were ringing with this high pitched sound. I also was seeing sunspots and couldn't walk straight. I went to get some water and after about 10 minutes the effects were gone but it was replaced by an insanely painful throbbing headache and me sweating like crazy. After this was over I fell asleep.

This morning I also woke up at 3 30 to a bad headache which is strange for me because I never get headaches.

Any ideas? Thank you

^Yeah, i forgot to mention that the pins and needles upon injection were probably symptomatic of histamine release.

i used to get an intense pins and needles feeling, almost painful burning, esp in my palms and face but it would always subside after a few seconds. i was told it was probably because the dope had been cut with niacin. it was def legit dope tho, used to get high as shit from shooting a 20$.

sounds like it was bad dope to me, maybe even coupled with cotton fever. it would have to be some naaasty cut to make u that sick, esp waking up with a headache. maybe stay away from that dealer, who knows maybe he is the one cutting it? sometimes the more scummy dealers will take it already cut for street sale and then cut it even more to make profit, ive seen ppl cut it with benedryl pills, multivitamins, tylenol (yea brilliants i know) and psuedo[hed, and probably anything else laying around.

No,from the sounds of what your saying I had an almost identical experience with stuff from the best, most reliable guy I had. The heartbeat, the headache with the hideous anxiety (not like "too much coke in the speedball anxiety" where you hear "the bells of saint mary's;"just a gross, nasty anxiety) Sounds like you were just fucked by the fickle finger of fate and an almost microscopic piece of cotton got caught up in the shot and into your blood stream. You probably know, the best cure for cotton fever is..more H. Try to keep your cotton rolled tighter or get the ones from the exchange that are preformed and so probably less likely to fuck you like that way. Cotton fever...once you have it BAD one time, you know what it feels like and you never forget, and that sounds like it. Not quite on the level on being narcaned with a system full of H, but damn close.

btw-- curious-- china or tar? I wonder what the purity is like on the american east coast with china these days. I haven't messed in like...4 or 5 yrs simply bc I was afraid of being one of those old toothless motherfuckers you see coping their dope on the corner at 4am, waiting for the man to come by.

I'm fine now. The normal doPe I get is really bomb and I always get pins and needles. But the cotton fever sounds right. HOly shit it's scary

But when I read about cotton fever it says violent shaking and chills. I didn't get that

The pins and needles and increased heart-rate is from a histamine reaction caused by the heroin to morphine conversion in the brain. It tends to happen when you have more purer forms of dope. The duration is short and this is a common response in most IV heroin users.
