Weird Marquis Reaction....

A friend brought some MDMA caps over to test. Cracked em open, first thing I noticed was a pink powder, was like hmm wtf. Placed some on a plate, a drop of the marquis, it fizzed as expected, but no colour change. Went slightly yellowish then pink (i suspect from the powder).

Anyone have any idea?

The fizz is generally from HCL salt of some sort.

Pure mdma powder will turn black with fizz.

the only thing i think it could be is either

Methadone HCl Light yellowish pink
2C-D Very light pink
PIPES Fizz no colour change - colour from powder/reagent reacting with air, dust, plate, filler, cutter etc

or some other RC but def not MDXX

Might get a better response from Testing Q & A forum, Mod might move if u wish

gona need the 5 reagent test to really narrow it down...so your guess is as gud as anyone elses.

best bet is to try some, if u dare

Could be anything, yellow -> pink doesn't sound promising though :/

Maybe have a browse through the pill testing forum? From memory a few RCs might test yellow (mdpv, methylone, etc) so it's possible you have one of those and the pink reaction was from a dye? Definitely not MDMA thogh.

Yeh but u also have to send 20mg of stuff. $120us plus 1/5 of point I wouldnt be bothered waiting the week for postage, n 2-3 reply.

Yeh methylone tuens yellow but so do many other rcs, even with 5 reagent test kits its sometimes hard to differentiate betwen rc's
