Weird looking shrooms

Two things:

a. Extractions are worthless, as chances are you'd extract whatever toxic shit exists in the mold along with the psiloc(yb)in, and

b. If you eat those while still unsure, don't be surprised if trip-anxiety manifests itself as a hallucination of being poisoned, even if you really aren't.

If you're really desperate, perhaps get a razor and try to scrape off the mold?

I definitely wouldn't eat 'em. This is a great example of why shrooms need to be dried thoroughly if they're not gonna be eaten fresh. It *might* not be dangerous, but might is a bad word to use in the context of your health and safety! Jamshyd also raises an excellent point - even if they're perfectly safe, you'll have that worry in your head for the whole trip, which could easily ruin the experience all on its own.

You should tell whoever picked them to make sure to dry them out in the future. S/he's ruining perfectly good shrooms by not handling them properly.

I The original photos were of two of the worst looking pieces. Here's a photo that is representative of the overall batch. Does this change anyone's opinion at all?

I myself would eat them. Then again, I'm not exactly top-notch at harm prevention when it comes to my own body. Shrooms are my weakness, though.

this appears to be a possible adulteration. does the blue come off??? looks to me like somebody tried to make these blue like the blue bruising that is common with psilocybes. they look wrong to me. discard these specimens, pursue other avenues and learn more about mushrooms.

The problem with extractions is that many toxins found in mold also extract into the same solvents, so unless you know what kind of mold it is you can't be sure that the extracted end product is any safer than the shrooms themselves would have been.

A few of those mushies don't look moldy from that pic. It's not the safest thing in the world, but if some of them have no visible signs of being thoroughly molded and just have a couple tiny spots of mold on the outside, you could probably cut those bits off and eat the rest. It's still possible that the mold has started spreading through the rest of the 'shroom, though. Personally I wouldn't eat 'em, but then again, I don't consider shrooms that valuable or scarce - they're a dime a dozen around here, so I'm inclined to toss 'em at the slightest sign of trouble.

Heh, yeah, i might do that just for the hell of it but I'm sure the op wouldn't want to go to that much trouble ;). Just eat the good looking ones.

The OP is the one being most squeamish about these. I have a bit of a mold phobia. The problem is, around these parts, these don't come around too often.

they don't even look like cubensis. talk to the guy who sold them to you.

don't buy shrooms that aren't completely dry!

Why would you spend money on moldy, disgusting shrooms??

DO NOT EAT THEM, PLEASE.

You will get sick.

It's not that simple. I wasn't the person who obtained them, but I didn't give full instructions and descriptions to the person who did. If we can't eat them, we'll share the responsibility for it. The last few comments are not helpful at all. We are already aware that this batch has problems, we were just trying to figure out if they can be salvaged.

Zomg D; those look distrubing. I wouldn't eat them at all. I would just flush them down the tolit, then find some dry shrooms. Maybe boiling them would kill the bactria? But then I think they would lose potency aswell. I'm not sure

That's exactly what I thought... they look like agrocybes to me - with blue chalk on them for a line snapper.

Yeah, what is a Line Snapper? Does anyone else think these are agrocybes????

Who the fuck would pass Agrocybes as shrooms !???? Goddammit.

Just from reading that i'm going to assume agrocybes are another species of mushroom. The line snapper thing...come on ever been fishing? Oh and who would pass fake shrooms off? The money grubbing dealers were left to deal with thanks to certain laws.

No, I have never been Fishing. And I still don't know what the "blue chalk as a line snapper" remark means.

But these do look like they could be the wrong kind of mushrooms.

I don't understand why anyone would pay for them in the first place.
"were those mushrooms expensive?"
"dude, I found them in the ground"

that blue in the photo is waaaay too blue for dried shrooms. Maybe if they were fresh it would be that blue, but not when dried. Not even semi-dried.

My suggestion, stop wasting your hard earned money, do 20minutes of readig and go find your own.
