this is my first post under this name but was a very active poster years ago.
so i used to enjoy ghb back when it was good and cheap, but the pricing and iffy quality scared me off. i have a friend however, who continues to use chronically. last year, he got a bad batch and suffered a psychotic break. he stopped taking it altogether for a while but then started using again, but baking the ghb into a powder in the oven. this seemed to remove the impurities and apart from occasionally nodding off, seemed to suffer no obvious side effects, though was soon dependent on it again.
so he recently received a bad batch again, and spent a couple hours reverting to a primal state (though not nearly as bad as last year), despite cooking it. i want to know if anyone knows what could be causing this. the side effects, even at just a couple doses include nodding off, twitching, excessive sweating, drooling, horrible smelling gas, transient stabbing pains in the abdomen & muscle pain. he vomited while experiencing the temporary insanity. other people who've tried it experienced similar but milder reactions, including repetitively saying "oh god" or "help me."
the powder looks similar but not quite to the usual stuff he makes. it leaves an icky greasy residue on surfaces it drops on.
i've searched the net and can't figure out what would cause these severe reactions. some other drug, some kind of impurity? please, if anyone can help, do respond. i hope to have something to tell him soon as i'm afraid he is continuing to do it as it does have the ghb effects as well. if i can't convince him to quit altogether i'd like to at least teach him how to avoid this stuff.
