ok i'm unsure about what is going on here...

my rattie girl just returned to flower arranging after a prolonged vacation from it. before she was always drinking the grounds in a slurry and this time she started making tea from them.

now she still feels the effects of her arrangements - but she has noticed that her eyes are not very pinned even when feeling the effects - however the next morning her eyes are very pinned.

anyone know why this is?

when she was drinking the slurry in the past her eyes would be pinned the same day.

just curious - since i'm doing these experiments in the name of science you know =D

no she is a diabetic and eats a low carb diet. she sticks to 6 carbs for breakfast, and 12 carbs each for lunch and dinner.

now that you mention this before her vacation from flower arranging she was eating more carbs than she is now... could this be why? i would think that carbs would interfere with the process not help it? but i'm unsure why i think this - just that there would be more food in your stomach to hinder the process... but opies slow down digestion anyway... now i'm really confused... ;)

Stop the third person bullshit. Hurts my head.

Poppy pod tea has a variety of alkaloids that metabolize at different rates. Some slow each others metabolism.
Your pupil size is also dependent on e.g. mood and lighting conditions.

Pupil size should not be used as an indicator of how much narcotics are in your system. If making tea, a decent glass would last me 24 hours, and take at least 3 hours to feel in the first place. As far as "buzz" goes, it's a trashy high. Try drinking tea when you don't have an opioid addiction and you will see what I'm talking about. That stuff will make you feel like shit. Espresso maker is the best way, and only drink enough to keep you out of wd for the day. Unless you have a lot of $ to spend. I always found that 10 pods were no different than 3 when it came right down to it, and it's easy to get sick with the combo of hard narcotics that are in the pods, and the overall grossness the given amount being on your stomach.

i never get upset stomach from it really or puke even when eating grounds (well unless i grind up the seeds as well) ... now kratom lol that can make me puke!

i was just wondering why eating the grounds makes my pupils pinned the first day and why they are pinned the 2nd day when i drink tea.

i agree that pods are a very dirty high compared to H which for years i was addicted to - but i would rather use pods since i stopped using H over 10 years ago and don't want to go back to that. pods are much cheaper also and their sketchy availability is good for me!

i do as small amount as i can. usually since i've begun making tea i will just put some grounds in with my regular tea and drink out of a klean kanteen with a screen added to filter out the sludge and just keep adding water all day. at this point i can still feel as little as a teaspoon worth! however i also take a little kratom by t&w and i think this somehow helps potentiate (sp?) the pods but not sure.

really i don't care about how pinned or not my eyes are and i've been an opiate addict for a good portion of my life (i'm 51) so i can tell if i am high. but i just wondered why the delayed reaction on pinning... guess i have too much spare time! and so i wonder about stupid things... lol i'm guessing that (as posted above) different alkoloids are coming out at different times by the tea extraction versus having to wait til digestion of the grounds... geez my head hurts too now ;)

I would say that the delayed reaction is because some of the opioids in tea have a very long half life. I got myself down to 1 pod per day ran through an espresso machine. It would take care of me for a day and a half usually. I would recommend pods over any other maintenance program to certain people.

I often find a delay in the constriction of pupils with poppy tea, often takes a few hours. Howerver I find that the euphoric and sedating properties kick in really fast- sometimes with onset in as little as 10 minutes. The next day when I have an afterslow, there is still some pupil constriction.

Often combine PPT with Phenibut, and that counteracts pupil constriction. Can be useful at work as you don't have the pin sized pupils give away, though I may be a bit more sedated- a strong coffee helps with that though.
