So, I'm not exactly proud of this, but I shot some dope today, haven't in a while.

I was using a shitty rig that was bleached just incase because it hasn't been used in a while. The rig wass also pretty dull. It wasn't the best idea for sure.

Anyways, I shot the dope, and made yet another mistakee, i kept the belt tightened way to long, for like 30 seconds after i shot it because i was high I guess.

So then I get a really bad reaction in my hand (where I shot it) o, and I forgot to mention that I missed a little too.
The bad reaction I have gotten many times, just weird bump like things that are white on and around the injection site. But, this time it was different, the raised areas got bigger and bigger, and then my entire hand began swollen.

An hour or so later my hand is still very swollen, but the markings have gone away, so I just have a really swollen hand, it doesn't like anything has spread, there is no pain unless I flex my wrist intensely.

What do you think this is? I'm really scared, I've never had this before.
Basically I'm just wondering if this is really serious, or if I can wait a day or two to go see a doctor.

I'm no expert but it sounds like you may have hit an artery or maybe it has to do with the belt. You should get it checked out by a medical professional if it doesn't sort itself out soon.

If you had said it hurt a lot when you injected I would have thought you hit a nerve or artery, but since you didn't then I really don't think that's the case. Probably just got swollen due to missing part of your shot combined with leaving the belt on too long. Or else a histamine reaction. Is the swelling gone now?

If it was an artery, the registered blood wood have been a brighter, more frothy shade of red, and there would have been some resistance upon pushing down on the plunger. OP, did you experience anything to this effect? The "bumps" sound like hives which are a symptom of an arterial hit..

Yeah if it was an artery, it would have hurt like fuckin' hell the moment you started pushing down on the plunger. Sounds like a nasty missed shot that was compounded with an old needle, and pressure build up from leaving the tourniquet on.
