weird cut in coke causing issues for IVy league users, insights or info?

recently ended up with a melenky of the ol devils dick dust, and ran into some issues with whatever it was cut with. Maybe it's subtle for the shnoz sniffing route but for IVing, it's very apparent. While I was preparing my shot, i added mixed my coke and saline and swirled it a bit, as normally thats all it takes. I've had shit this fizzed for a few seconds but settled, but this shit ended up just caking up to a paste in a matter of seconds. Needless to say, that was frustrating. Added another barrel of water and mixed, and that turned into paste. The only way to ready it up was to add the water and draw it up right away, before it absorbed all the liquid and became paste. I would rinse the paste in the same manner a few times until I wasn't feeling the hit. This is vexing as I know im wasting coke and also cos the bells don't ring when you split one hit into 3 or 4.
