I'm an addict, though I don't use like I used to. I don't use every day, I'm thinking about 2-3x per week. And one use is really one day because I'll usually do 2-3 shots on a using day. I take methadone or sub on a day when I'm not going to get high in case you're wondering.

Anyways, I made my shot, made it a little bit stronger that I usually do approx 3 1/3 bags where I normally do 3. It may have been as much as 3.5 bags. It's very good dope and I got a nice rush, pretty strong pins and needle, but I didn't fall out. Then about 3 minutes later, I started to feel really ripped, kinda light headed and my heart started beating fast. I was on the phone when it happened and I hung up th e phone to concentrate on what was going on. Again, very light headed, somewhat impaired vision and a very rapid heart beat. I pulled over into a gas station parking lot, and took about 15 deep breaths and did some breathing techniques that I learned in yoga, after about 2 minutes, it began to subside. I'm fine now, but what happened. Anybody had this happen to you? My vision impairment was like when you look at the sun or something bright, and you have a blind spot in the shape of whatever you were looking at. I had a colorful blind spot with an irregular shape.

Also, don't come here just to bash me for doing a shot and driving. I'm sorry I did it, I typically don't. There is no need to even mention me driving.

I've gotten that when I snorted tar/solution twice. I have had anxiety problems for a while and attributed it to a panic attack. Like I was worried I did too much maybe. Definitely had the racing heart and light really bothered me like I'd looked at the sun for too long. Lasted probably 2 minutes, definitely scared me. I was also in WDs before I did the tar both times, so I also thought it could be me an effect from snapping outta WDs quickly.

It sounds like you had a panic attack and the high creeped up on you a little bit. I had somthing similar happen to me not to long ago, but from snorting. I cant explain it exactly but definently a really odd sensation. hmm

I agree. I also have anxiety problems, and I would sometimes have panic attacks when I did H. I attributed it to me thinking that I might OD.

It happened when I did really small amounts so I knew there was no way I could OD. But my anxiety has been a problem for quite awhile and it can definitely get the best of me. The first time it happened I was actually driving too (dumb, I know) on a long trip. I was getting so sick so when I stopped I stuck 25mg in a syringe. Tried to just push through it, but I couldn't make it so I squirted it up my nose. About 5 minutes later my heart was really racing and I had to pull over. It was night and my eyes really hurt from staring at the headlights, like I was looking straight into the sun. Something I definitely won't be doing again.

Well the thing is, I had done a nice dose, so I was anxiety free at the time. I don't really have an anxiety problem. I started to feel really ripped, then lightheaded. It made me feel like I was OD'ing, but the pins and needles weren't too intense and my immidiate effects didn't seem consistent with an OD. Like I said, it took somewhere around 3 to 5 minutes for this to happen.

I believe that the way it travels in your blood stream can be inconsistent--- the conditions may have been right in your vessels and brain that a rapid amount was absorbed at once which caused that effect.

It sounds to me like you may have also had a rapid loss of blood pressure which is consistent with opiate use too.

Pure diacetylmorphine doesn't normally produce pins and needles, that's more of a morphine reaction (due to the large amount of histamine released) and more than likely, your heroin had a larger ratio of morphine to heroin. I think all heroin has some morphine in it, simply because it takes morphine to make heroin. Morphine is converted to heroin using heat and AA (acetic anhydride, not Alcoholics Anonymous) so it's inevitable that with street H you're gonna have some morphine.

It's not really a bad thing, but the times I've shot too much morphine, it felt like my head was going to explode (not in a good way) and each time I did do that I was really contemplating whether to call an ambulance. It really was painful.

You can minimize this with an antihistamine taken 30-45 minutes before (be careful, though. an antihistimine such as benadryl will produce additive depressant effects, and you could overdose easier)

And some antihistamines (cyclizine, for example) shot with the morphine will actually increase the euphoria. Diconal, anyone? (Dipipanone + Cyclizine)

Yes its happened to me exactly like that 3 times in the past - each time I shot more than my usual dose hoping to get a good hit but got this instead. I put it down to being on the verge of an OD, but I've ODd before and it was nothing like this. It did scare me though, especially as one time I was on my own in the office at work and I actually managed to write a note saying what id done just in case I did eventually go down. It could have something to do with the cut as well I suppose, but the fact it only happened after doing more than usual must be significant.

^^^^what he said i think its called orthostatic hypotension. like when you bend and suddenly stand straight your heart beats faster and you feel really woozy. the H causes a lowering of the b.p and since you said the dose was higher adding to the fact that it was i.v. must have caused it.

I never had a reaction like that,I have had a reaction where I injected some powder that was about twice as strong as it usually was from these people and I did the shot and got the rush and next thing I know I fall backwards in my chair onto the floor, and never passed out,but felt majorly fucked up and was like oh shit I did too much, but after a few minutes I was able to walk semi normally and felt really good ..lol..

I've definitely experienced vision impairment. When I'm really high, it's hard for me to focus and practically impossible to read anything in small font/print. Blind spots as well. Gets better after 15-20 minutes.

Rapid loss of blood pressure sounds like it fits the bill perfectly. It would definitely cause a loss of vision and whatnot. It's impossible for us to say for sure what happened to you because none of us were there, we can only speculate as to the cause, but it definitely seems like a loss of blood pressure would cause those particular symptoms.

sounds like there was some other opiate in with the heroin and it took a bit to start feeling the effects. i've had the same thing happen, you get the pins and needles in your head, maybe a little fire, then a few minutes latter you feel light all over. you think your are about to fall out and get ready for it but then it subsides.

did you try shooting less of the same batch? i remember i got some bags that were dropping people all over. i didn't realize they were hot, luckiloy i shot half of my normal dose because i only had a little and wanted to make it last. i shot about 1/2 bag and it felt incredibly good, but i can imagine if i shot my normal 2 bag dose....i would have fallen out without question.

and don't feel bad about shooting then driving. i do it all the time and never had a problem. i always wait a few minutes then drive with caution. maybe i'm such a junkie that i think i can drive or it doesn't effect my judgement like alcohol.

I boot & drive every day, it ain't no big deal if you gotta tolerance. If I start nodding out, I park my shit and bang some yak... then I'm back on the road.

^^Make note that what he says is in no way safe driving practices lol. I'm sure he's just speaking of his own personal experiences, but just in case someone else does realize this, no one should take that to be a safe idea to stay focused on the road. Using coke to counter the nod from dope may work, but is not the safest way to stay alert at the wheel.

The hardest thing for me when I drive after using dope is that sometimes when I do a big shot, I feel like my eyes have trouble staying focused. It seems to worsen when exposed to extra light, such as bright headlights or something. It's almost like I go crosseyed a little bit and I have to close my eyes and try real hard to focus my eyes again. Anyone else ever experience this or is it just me?

The only reason I did it when driving is I was having such bad WDs that was making me drive bad. After I got over my little panic attack I was driving much better. I did 1/4-1/2 of a $20 bag which could never make me OD, just had anxiety problems for so long they catch me sometimes.
