I guess this thread is more of a vent than anything else.
Im currently 2 weeks away from registering for my last semester at a local JC and then will be transferign to a university to finish my undergrad... and im feeling the weight of the decisions aproaching me like no other
theres several questions bearing down on me at this moment. one of them is which csu to transfer to. I know I want to have a real "college experience" with a real "college atmoshophere" a commuter school is the last thing I want to find myself in. I want to experience those great dorm nights. I want to be exposed to a new city with new ideas with people who arnt just parking going to class and then going home for dinner with mom and dad or nights with old highschool chums.
I want to be by a decent sized city with at least 75,000 people in it so I can have the oppertunity of fun nights playing my music in shitty venues or hitting the bars up with my college pals.
it doesnt seem like theres any california state universities that fit this profile.
aside from that, dont get me started on picking a major. I really need to pick one within the next 2 weeks and honestly am having so much trouble doing so. I want to make a comfertable living but I dont want to be stuck in a miserable job. i tossed architecture around for a while, but ultimately I hear most architects arnt too happy with their current jobs considering the rigorous demands of they went through in college. Ive also tossed around economics and comm studiesm but ugh I dont know, im so stuck.
