weight vs pills

okay, so im not "ron the don" but im his girlfriend and I wanted to post a thread about an incident I was curious about that happened last night.

So anyways, I'm about 100 pounds, a small girl as most people would say and I took 2 valium (diazepam) 10mg last night and was completely fucked up. I woke up this morning with no recollection of what happened last night. I remember everything up to taking to valium...I woke up this morning accusing my boyfriend of smoking a personal blunt without me My brother is very small for his age and he takes 2 valium and seems very intact. I couldn't even function last night to be completely honest...Im not innocent I have taken many other pills before. Oxy, percs, xanax...you name it i've probably done it but valium just seems to hit me the hardest.

All im wondering is if it has to do with my size or if valium truly hits everyone as hard as it hit me?

It could just be your body's reaction to the Valium. Was that your first time? If so, your body probably couldn't handle such a large dose. 20mg Diazepam is equivalent to 1mg Xanax. Have you ever taken any more then 1mg Xanax? If not, as I said, it was probably too much for your body to handle.

I've never actually blacked out on a benzo, it's weird. The very first time I ever took a benzo I did 8mg Xanax and I remember the whole thing. Although I was VERY fucked up.

When I have taken alot of benzo's I will black out and have memory loss as well

Yep you took too high of a dose. Many, if not all blackout at high doses. Was that your first time using?

Its wasn't my first time...I have messed with benzos and valium before but I usually just take 1 valium because its usually being mixed with some other sort of pill. Last night I had nothing else but valium so I took 2 because I wasn't mixing it with anything so I thought I would be able to handle it but I guess not....So in conclusion I guess I just took to much?

Sounds like you just took too much. Your tolerance to Valium may be lower then the 20 mgs you took. Weight does have some effect on certain medicines. Although I'm not sure which. But for example my BF would have to take almost double what I do of a new drug, however my tolerance to say Xanax is so high he takes less then I do and is messed up. I think it's a mix of tolerance and weight.

It's not like that for everybody. I really don't think it's your size either. I am just over 100lbs and 5'8'' (so also quite small). For me, diazepam is seemingly the weakest benzo (for me) that I've ever taken and it takes 40mg minimum for me to benefit from it (for anxiety relief). It's interesting that you reacted so strongly from 10mg. * I don't think it's your size OR the medication itself in general. W/o taking any further time to think about it - I really don't know. I'd say it's simply an issue of (lack of) tolerance.

--how tall are you, anyway? This will help give us a better idea of your actual size. 100lbs is very different on a 5'0'' female than a 6'2'' female

I'm 5"4 and 100 pounds. I took 20mg of diazepam not 10mg. I've never reacted so strongly just taking 1 but taking 2 hit me hard...If pills stay in your system for a couple days maybe it was the previous day oxy and mixing the valium the next that made it so strong.

Valium never hit me "hard" at any point except with very high doses (60mg+) and I never found it all that recreational. However, although body size does have obvious effects on tolerance, it still varies from person to person. A friend of mine is about my height, some 20lbs heavier than me, but is so much more responsive to all drugs - he'll go nuts from 2mg of clonazepam or be satisfied with 200mg tramadol, although with equal tolerance (although I have more experience) I'd rather take 6mg of clonazepam and 400-600mg of tram.
