Weight of powder verses strength

hi guys I have a very difficult question I have a 100 grams of powdered dilaudid I need to know how much do I put on scale that equals a 8mg tablet is it the weight of the powder that makes it 8mg so I would put 8mg on scale would that be an 8mg pill but that is weight I was hoping someone would answer the question is how much powder as weight do I put on scale to equal an 8mg tablet thanks but im confused
 
If you have pure hydromorphone HCl powder, 8mg weighed would be equivalent to an 8mg tablet. Also, if you have 100g of pure hydromorphone HCl you are some seriously lucky person :). Watch out for those cartel hitmen though.

It depends on if its pure Hydromorphone or if it crushed up Dilaudid or something else, right?
 
You have a large quantity of opiates and I´d be careful about handling this without a proper balance and some guidance.
 
Uhhh.. Why bump? What more do you need to know?
An 8 mg dilaudid contains 8 mg of hydromorphone, aswell as binders and fillers so the pill will weigh more than 8 mg, but still only has 8 mg of drug
 
I'm guessing that by "Powdered dilaudid" you mean that you have 100g of crushed pills?
And you want to know how much an 8mg pill (including binders, non-active ingredients, etc) weighs...
Is that correct?

If so, can anyone weigh one of these dillies and let the OP know what it weighs so they can calculate it?
(Unless I'm wrong, and we're talking about pure hydromorphone here... In which case 8mg weighed on the scale is the equivalent to an 8mg tablet).
 
I think the dilaudid brand 8mg ones weigh 60-75 mg, but I'm sure that the other brands could be different.
If he had a big pile of crushed pills, he could dissolve the powder and filter it, and dry it out gently to get pretty close to pure powder. At least that would take some of the guess work out.
I don't mean to offend or sound like a dick, but @OP maybe you should just try and sell that to someone who has a pill press or something and knows what they're doing. 100 grams of hydromorphone (assuming it is pure is 2500 doses @4mg/dose. That's enough to take down a mammoth! Please be careful whether you consume or distribute not to make a silly mistake that costs lives
 
^ ...just don't sell it to anyone less likely to know what to do with it.
Unless you want a death on your conscience (and criminal record).
Not trying to sound overly dramatic, but you get the point.
