Weekly Vicodin for Concentration. How many days on/off?

I just had some teeth removed, and was prescribed Vicodin/Norco 5/325. I've been prescribed 5/500 before for a different tooth extraction, but the extra 175 acet. made me get headaches and feel nausea. This time around, I've been concentrating really well on it (day 2) and have accomplished a lot.

Like most drugs I've done, I like to go on and off a lot, and keep to my sober self the majority of the time. Assuming I am the average person, how many days on and how many days off a week do you think is okay?

I was thinking 2 days on, 5 days off. Maybe consecutive days on. Anyone else take Vic for concentration now and again? I like it more than Adderall which makes me feel cracked out and unable to eat.

1 day a week. If you want to do 2 days in a row I'd leave at least 7-9 days in between, 10+ is best.

It might seem like overkill but you can easily find threads of people saying they took opiates 1/week and after a month or so they started feeling decreased effects, as well as urges to use on the "off" days...

Since you have a very limited supply it's probably less worry, especially if you're planning on using a low dose to concentrate, but still once you have a taste for opiates they'll just seem to be around more... and then you'll make it your business to have them...

I would stick with once a week, although I haven't heard of using it to improve concentration, usually it's for pain relief or... well, um "pain" relief. The difficulty concentrating could be depression-related. I would get an MD's opinion.

Alright, thanks for the forewarning about opiates. I will limit to once a week tops. After I finish up with pain from the teeth extraction, I will take two weeks off.

I have a physical problem that may get fixed with surgery, but it is a pain in the ass for now and does stress me out. On Vicodin, I don't worry about it, and I can concentrate on what I'm interested in (coding, reading, brainstorming, learning in general).
