Weekly opiate use? and How long does it take for opiates to leave your system?

Hey everyone, I'm new to this site. I have searching online for answers, but I figured why not ask them myself.
If anyone can please help me with my questions, I'd greatly appreciate it.

So basically, I'm not an addict, I'm not physically dependent on opiates.
I have been taking opiates recreationally for several years, but I have always only taken them ONCE a week. Some people say I need to be careful because it can lead to addiction, but I know my limits, and I've seen what everyday usage has done to some friends of mine, and I refuse to take opiates everyday, I only take them on the Saturday when I know I'm off work and I can sleep it off all Sunday. Monday I am back to work and I will never even think of touching another pill until the weekend comes.
I have never taken opiates for 2 or more consecutive days in a row, and I have never experienced a withdrawal. But I do know I mentally crave them when the weekend is approaching.

My first question is: Is it possible that my body is addicted to taking opiates every Saturday? I did skip a few weekends before and nothing happened to me, no withdrawal. I heard you must take them several days in a row to become physically dependent, so I guess I'm fine, right?

Second question: I have a drug test coming up soon, I am planning to stop taking opiates for about a week or 2. Is it possible for for me to pass my drug test?
(Mind you I have been taking opiates weekly for a few years, not sure if that matters)

Thanks:)

No, your body is not physically addicted to taking opiates every Saturday. However, there is a very high chance you're psychologically addicted to your Saturday "routine."

You will pass your drug test as long as you drink plenty of water and eat healthily.

Consider yourself lucky, Roxii; most people are unable to maintain the kind of habit you have done for so long.

Keep it that way, and keep enjoy your opiates once weekly as an infrequent indulgence.

Peace and much love! <3

If you truly have the will-power you say you have and only use on the weekends, you won't ever become dependent. All opioids have different bioavailabilities, onsets and durations which can easily be looked up via wikipedia or more empirically, hearsay on bluelight. The two common substances with long half-lives are gonna be methadone and buprenorphine. Basically, if you're opioid naive, you will go to sleep high, wake up high the next morning, and be high for the rest of the next day with those two.

Oxycodone, Heroin, Morphine all have relatively equal onset and duration. Oxycodone/Hydrocodone are a little bit on the shorter side, with Heroin/Morphine lasting a little while longer. Anyway, the point is that if you can keep your drug use to just weekends, you will be all set. Many have made this statement before including myself. Addiction and dependence will creep up on you. An extra pill here, extra shot because you had such a bad day at work etc. Good luck
