I didn't like this first episode. It feels more like the 4th or 5th episode they just picked up in the middle of this plot. I never saw a husband or a husband dead. I don't know what the main chracter was like before she started selling drugs and I sure as shit have no idea how she became a drugs dealer. They've left all the emotion and detail out and jumped straight to selling weed...

I doubt I'll watch much more.

i just watched the 1st ep and have to agree 100% with your analysis.. i'd like to know how she fell into her current job and how she met her connections. They're pretty trusting to let her just hang out while they're bagging up shitloads of weed.. how long have they known her? Also that bullshit about eyeballing was hella dumb.. no dealer in their right mind would eyeball ounces 8o

I don't think there was a line any of the black characters spoke that wasn't dripping with racial stereotypes... also the only black people in the whole show are the big time drug suppliers and they don't live in the nice houses the rest of the characters do.

whats up with the main character's morality complex? if you have a problem with 10yr olds getting pot, quit selling to the person who will in turn sell to 10 year olds, don't tell your customer not to sell to 10 year olds 8( bossing your customers around telling them where to and not to smoke? gimme a break. and slanging right at your kid's soccer game... in some small town.. like nobody's gonna know. 8)

anyways i'm down to watch another ep or two but i'm not impressed. it seems like their trying really hard to have an edgy show, but it falls flat.

I have a feeling they are goign to do the flashbacks to explain all that. They have alreayd done a few with the dad.

they make jokes about their differences, i have had the same relationship in the past with friends of mine that were black. no biggie.

kinda like reality, and the point of the show. Unfortunately, in neighborhoods like that, there aren't black families much of the time. Haven't been in mine, and that was in Atlanta, a city with a very high african american population.

He told her he wouldn't sell it to them.

why not? again, the point of the show, it happens from my own experience, it happens all the time. I don't know about y'all, but this show so far couldn't be more accurate that what I experience.

I promise I am not a writer or producer defending my baby =D I jsut really disagree with your observations!!!

Funny how at that soccer game Celia notices that Wilson kid selling drugs on the playground but can't relize that Nancy is sealing drugs to the Wilson father right next to her...

agreed. I'm probably in for the long haul now.

just watched the 2nd episode and i agree with lovelife.. no more! who ever heard of someone putting up their leased car and engagement ring as colateral for a couple of ounces? and nobody is gonna notice or wonder why she was driving some beater for a while?

kevin nealon's character should be the main hookup imo..

^^ right. The only problem is that it should be an hour long or at least 45 minutes instead of just a half hour.
I love it as well. In fact i didn't even have Showtime and got it for this show.
Although i must admit i am not ready to handle cancer so early in the show.
