"weed world," does bud do THIS to YOU?

I dont like having too many tokes at once, and holding it in for more than 3-5 secodns. I get nauseous whenever I am naughty and do that..

"so, if it IS oxygren deprevation, why cant i get the same effects sans THC?"

Placebo my friend.

When my LSD started kicking in i was smoking, holding in every hit for god knows how long. Yeah, I went into fucking weed world alright. Everytime i held in smoke for more than ten seconds everything would flash silver and my vision would shutter in very quick progressions. Not to mention the fried smile on my face. This only happened when the herbal smoke was in my lungs, like the origional poster mentioned.

lol, i dont think i could miss something THAT powerful, OR imagine it.

seriously, could you somehow not notice the effects of n2o? the feeling i get is VERY similar to nitrous...

no freakin way is this a placebo effect. it is too powerful.

o and if anyone wants to experience this... ive found a few ways to make it easier to obtain...

one way that it ALWAYS happens for me is if i take a hit and try to walk somewhere. if you dont believe me, take a big hit of good herb, hold it in, and walk to the door of the room. be careful not to fall on anything painful...

another way my girlfriend found out was to squat down, and slowly stand up as you hit the pipe. by the time youre standing up straight, your lungs are full and the rush is pretty fucking intense. i feel really retarded doing this, tho 8)

those people who are calling me out--try either of these to see what im talking about... ive yet to meet someone that it doesnt work for eventually.

and, neither requires you to hold smoke in for longer than 5-6 seconds.. so oxygen deprevation is pretty much ruled out as the cause, right?

Happened to me twice, roughly 7 months apart. I am living proof.

EDIT: I trust my shrink and hes mad cool, so I asked him what the hell happened after I had this happen. He said something about low blood pressure combined with some sort of movement that slows blood flow to the brain (sitting to standing, standing to walking, maybe even sitting and adjusting? cant explain the ones that occur sitting) resulting in reduced circulation to the brain and the characteristic symptoms. He says it isn't an immediate health threat, but to get it checked out if it starts occurring frequently or if you have a seizure (they check nervous function for damage from the seizure though i dont think this damage happens much).

So yeah, best advice I guess is make sure you are breathing fully/deeply into your lungs for good O2/CO2 exchange, and stand or move or whatever slowly, not quickly.

When it happened to me the first time I went from sitting in the car to standing (to leaning on the car to falling to the pavement), and the second time I had been sitting for a bit, stood relatively still for about 3 minutes and proceeded to walk somewhere else which would soon become my temporary mattress. :P

there we go! thank you!

When I was stoned I used to always get colourfull flickers and slight hallucinations.

I've got no idea what you're on about, but a friend of mine used to be quite a habitual smoker and I can remember a couple of times when he's had a bucket, stood up and suddenly collapsed backwards. There was even a time when he had a few draws off a joint in the city centre, he had less than me and ended up collapsing against a wall and being completely unresponsive to the point randoms wanted to call him an ambulance. He'd always come round eventually, but it was always just after smoking (weed/hash) and he always reported being really quite fucked.

I'm not sure if that's what you're on about but "weed world" is a shit name, "being stoned" might be slightly more apt?

This proves that it is lack of oxygen that is making you enter "weed world". I have experienced it, and I don't find it too pleasurable. I try not to stand up right after hitting the pipe...

It's not oxygen deprivation, it's orthostatic hypotension

When you stand up after sitting down for a long period of time, most of the blood in the brain goes down to the abdominal(lower) part of the body. The brain blood pressure goes down and the different part of the brain and the eyes receive lower amount of blood than normal .That's why we get dizzy when we stand up faster than usual from a chair.

Um...this means that it is oxygen deprivation...less blood means less oxygen reaches the cells...both of your little technical google terms are the same thing...

just because you get dizzy doest necessarily mean you are hurting yourself, which is associated with oxygen depreviation (?)

..ive basically been arguing that i havent been hurting myself by doing this. if oxygen deprevation isnt harmful.... then i guess its a moot point..

but ive been assuming it is..

I'm not even going to dignify that with a response. They are two completely different things. Do a little research before talking out your arse.
