Is weed withdrawal real? I tried to quit about a month ago and experienced intense anxiety attacks and mood swings. After about a week I started smoking again and the anxiety went away. I quit again 5 days ago and I am experiencing the same thing, mood swings and anxiety.

But I'm starting to wonder is it all in my head? Is weed withdrawal a real thing? Some people say it is and some people say it's not because weed isn't addictive.

If it is real how long will this anxiety and the mood swings last?

I think its real. Its not like heroin withdrawal or anything though. My main symptoms are lack of appetite, motivation, depression, insomnia.

been off it for about a week now. the craving is pretty strong when i start thinking about it. been having some seriously intense dreams too.

nothing horrible. maybe just a little irritable. and i was smoking alot (about 7g a week) so yes, it's real. on the upside i've been more energetic and feeling productive :)

I've started having the intense dreams too, they're all mostly about me smoking and getting stoned. I hope this will all end soon.

I think it's more of a psychological dependence/WD/transition than anything... a lot of it has to do with finding new things to stave off boredom I think and it takes more to be amused/content...

The brilliant thing is that once what some people call withdrawals are over you don't experience any cravings. That's not the case with harder drugs like alcohol, tobacco, meth or heroin.
