Weed Slang Question...

Ok, I've been debating with my friends for a while over this.
A joint = rolled in "rolling papers"
A blunt = rolled in a cigar wrapper.
But this is the one. I've always thought a "spliff" was rolled in rolling papers but just rolled in a cone shape, so that it gets bigger to smaller at the end you smoke at. Am I wrong in arguing this point profusely with friends? lol...I suppose it doesn't matter much, but it's an on going debate.
BTW: we bought one of those corn-husk doll kits, and have been rolling it in corn husks lately. Tastes so good, I suggest you give it a shot if you ever see those corn-husk doll kits.

a spliff is a rasta joint! i've never smoked one, but i've heard its the shit. they hit like a m0f0! they are rolled with paper, but with a big paper, like rice paper! and you should roll about an eighth of and ounce in it! and you're right, its like a club. its big at one end, then gets smaller as you go to the other end!

yeah, yer right... it doesnt have to be an eighth... or rice paper, you can do it with normal papers (with 2.. you kinda stick them at an angle) and it forms a cone. course you could make it huge if you needed to.

I never liked the term "blunt" .. sounds to, um, we will say "ghetto" for the sake of all the PC thugs that would go crazy about racial sterotypes.. I refer to them as "marijuana cigars", or since thats not 'hip' enough, I cann them "mary jane cigars"..

The jungly dude's descriptions are the same ones I know; blunt=cigar paper, joint=rolling paper, spliff=cone in rolling paper.

a blunt = ciggar filled with pot. It comes from the name of some really cheap ciggars called philly blunts which are made out of sugar paper rather than leaf so it's easy to stick. I wouldn't make a distinction between a spliff and a joint, there the same thing. They can both be fat as a mother f**ker or diet as hell. Both rolled with paper, both coned, come on who rolls there spliffs/joints like ciggs all straight with no cone. A large spliff or joint would be called an L, double L, triple L, etc, deppending on how many extra sheets you add to the end of it, as you stick an extra sheet sideways at the top to make it L shaped and longer. The L also means you can get a really fat top. I suppose it's different in every country but in the UK i don't think any distinction is made between the two terms (spliff/joint), there a methods of smoking rather than a type of roll.
 
well... i like the word spliff and it seems to get used for regular j's as well. blunts.. now. are you supposed to mix yer weed with tobacco or just fill the blunt with weed (which requires a huge amount of weed)?

Take one or two of these leaves, (that's up to you) place cannabis inside, and roll....
Or put some honey on the leaf/leaves, put cannabis inside, roll, put in oven for like 2 minutes, then smoke your tasty honey-like marijuana substance.
