so why does weed intensify my roll so much more ? 2 hours after eating a tested pill i barely felt anything. slight happiness but the high doesn't really come through. right after i smoked some weed though it hit me SO hard. pure magic MDMA high and not a THC high at all. anyone got a possible explanation for that?

So many people talk about this -not only with weed but smoking in general. Could you maybe see smoking a joint as being relaxed and then when your in this relaxed state you can feel the MDMA? Maybe the stimulant effect of what you smoked was just enough to help the MDMA kick in? I do not smoke and the thought of having a joint / menthol / cigarette when rolling would have me in a sorry state !

Well if a not big dose of mdma is increasing your DA activity slightly, then there's no doubt some bud would really intensify that. Bud increases DAs transportation I think(and releases some too I believe). Also, I believe bud has some effect on SR too, also probably potentiating MDMAs rolling SR effects. But I doubt you'll get much more of a detailed answer than that, we may not know why exactly, but it is known that for many people some bud really intensifies a weak roll. I don't smoke a lot when I'm rolling hard, but practically always run into people (friends or random ass people haha) that smoke me out, and a few passes of a blunt sure makes me feel even warmer. I like waiting till a few hours into a roll to smoke, as I enjoy feeling each drug I do while rolling's effect one at a time (usually dirty pills (mdma with just a little tweak)), then some drinking as they kick in, some smoking a few hours later, maby some opiate later on especially if I don't want to be bug eyed... Mmmmm good rare day like that.

I always think a light roll is very subtle, and mixing much anything good with it(except opiates near the beginning), often intensifies it a lot. That being said, if I roll I usually roll hard, knowing I have dank pills ahead of time.

thanks for your replies guys. i didnt do a quantitative analysis of the pill but i doubt its mdma content is on the low end. lemme reiterate the course of events:

8 pm - dinner to get some energy for the night
1130 pm - took 1 pill
130 am - slight to no effects made us a little sad so we decided to
2 am - smoke a joint and BOOM all three of us start dancing like madmen
530 am - still raving like minute 1 but decided to get some water at the camping site (we were out of money at this point stupid to wait this long i know) and smoke up again but this time it has not quite the same effect
6 am - back to the dancefloor
730 am - slowly coming down and decided to nap for a little
9 am - cant really sleep so back to dancing until music ends at 12 am (at this point i wasnt really rolling anymore but still felt the music and urge to dance)

this was my 4th roll ever so i guess i have little tolerance built up but i doubt 1 pill can get you going for this long if it isnt strong. what do u think? im still puzzled how we felt almost nothing for 2.5 hours and suddenly, like someone flipped a switch, were raving until the sunrise. 2.5 hours just seems too long for a comeup. anyways, what i take away from this is to always keep some bud on me when rolling :)

I completely understand. The ONLY way I can actually roll is if I smoke. I had gone 6 months without smoking, took a 80-100mg pill which is pretty strong for me, and I still had to smoke. I just cannot feel it until I do, it really just throws me over the edge if you will. Only blunts with some good OG

^thats the same thing as saying I can 'only' roll at an event? You have a determined set of parameters that need to be applied before you relax and are able to 'let go'. I have found (with time) that my rules got less and less, I didn't have to be at a rave, I didn't have to have a strobe, I didn't have to be with friends/other people etc. I do not smoke weed/cigarettes so they have never been part of my 'rolling' experience.

Everyone is different. I set no limits for myself, but for me to get over the hump, I need weed dammit :).

yes, you need to relax and go with the flow in order to really enjoy rolling. otherwise you fight it and get sick or get panic attacks or just have a shitty time

I'd consider myself a pretty relaxed person and it doesn't need much effort for me to go with the flow. So what should i do if i feel almost no effects after 2.5 HOURS ? in my oppinion this cant just be psychological. redosing could work but i prefer to stick to one pill a little ganja and the party starts for me :)
