it flopped in Oregon. Weird, eh?

And its legal in like december or some shit, not right now, the vote just passed

and illinois still doesnt have it for medicinal...

Ohio doesn't either. We don't have enough support right now, but we're definitely in the process. The good thing is our signatures and support never expire until they're turned in. Hopefully we'll have enough by 2013-2014 to get something moving.

What's sad is I personally haven't seen anyone collecting signatures yet. I've read about setting up our own stations, but I've still been too lazy to actually commit to doing something like that even though I'm a college student on an extremely liberal college campus. It honestly makes me feel sort of ashamed, but hopefully people better than myself will step up to the plate and hopefully make it happen. We all have to do our part and right now I'm not fulfilling that duty.

Montana's medical didn't pass either

This makes me so happy! It's only a matter of time now.

Also, WA is below British Columbia where I live. This will put a lot more pressure on my province to decriminalize.

I'm English but just wanted to congratulate the guys in WA and CO for this massive step in the right direction. The tides are turning and it's only a matter of time until the politicians have to start listening.

Still can't believe this actually happened... Dya reckon the federal government will allow them to continue with this? I know its still federally illegal. I have no clue whether the federal government would intervene or not since I'm british what do you american folk think?

this is great news. hopefully this will cause a domino effect once more people realize it isnt the devils cabbage like the government has been saying since before i was born

if the federal gov't goes after them it will draw a lot of bad press; a feds vs. states' rights is not the kinda showdown the Obama gov't needs right now.
I think its everyone's best interest to just let it play out and se what happens. Especially if the state are going to generate lots fo tax revenue - the gov't gets their cut from that as well.

The precedent is surely on the feds side if they do fight it though - Gonzales v. Raich and the Commerce Clause come to mind.

Watch as shit gets taxed so high in Washington that people go to oregon to buy untaxed weed

I almost turned this into a political thing. I'm glad I proofread before I hit enter...

I'm proud of Colorado and Washington. I don't think the federal government will let this play out very long at all, but I hope that these are the first couple dominoes to fall in the battle to legalize my favorite flower. :)

Un-fuckin-real! I'm disappointed california didn't pass theirs when they had the chance 4 years ago.
