Weed and shit to do...

Okay, first no one has defined "stoner". Is a stoner someone who is constantly high or high occasionally? Some of the most intelligent people I know smoke a few times a week. I don't smoke much because I have asthma, but I still find it enjoyable when I do.
(and spelling and grammar mistakes bother me too =) I've never known of bad grammar associated w/weed, hmmm, whatever.

basically a stoner would be someone who smokes weed pretty much all the time. [everyday, few times a week, etc.]
 
hey kids! well i wouldn't call myself a stoner...just sometimes on the weekends when i go out and every now and then during the week....but my all time favorite thing to do is listen to music. music is so amazing when you are high, dancing is also i feel like i can hear and feel every single sound, the music is so clear and concise and beautiful...it just seems to move me. i feel i can dance so much better if i am high then when i am rolling...also i love to be in social situations, anywhere, just sitting back taking everything in and analyzing it all..bluelight is a lot of fun when you are high also..i just want to post and post and ramble and ramble.....sigh...bliss is wishing for pot right now....

Dude, one thing people have already pointed out, stoners seem to be a lot more mellow (assumeing "wicked" doesnt smoke...)
And I know M-Theory is an advancement of string Theory, which is 11-Dimensional not 7" and even if your of average intelligence you could read about Astro Physics, "A Brief History of Time - Updated Illustrated Edition" Stephen Hawking 200(1)? is a Great Book to start with, An Average High school could probalby understand it, and the Pictures are fucking Brilliant, but i digress...
Weed's a great way to just chill out, and every ordinary task has a different "fun new" aspect to it, but like anything if you do it excessivly it starts to ruin it, IMO Moderation is key to any drug.
Other Ideas:
Cooking High is cool if you "prepare in advance"
If you can read well high, The Onion, Astronomy, msg boards, drug info, and magazines are good to read.
Learn to play guitar, i had a friend who i thought was a burnout (i guess he still is) but he learned to play Hendrix level songs in 2 years by playing when stoned...
Go to a mall or public place with someone and either talk about people or go shoplifting =)
Concerts, new music, comedy/drug DVDs, housecleaning etc...i try to do something "productive" about every other time i smoke just to defeat the stereotype...

i agree with PhreeX, listen to nirvana, cuz its true "kurt had it all figured out". and my favorite thing to do is pick up a guitar and rock out!!!

Anyways, I do happen to have a short documentary on the String Theory on tape. I'll have to watch it again 'cause I dozed off the first time around (must've been too stoned
wink.gif
). But what I did see of it was pretty cool. I'm also reading a bit of fiction at the moment, a book called EARTH by David Brin. It uses the string theory thing to explain the stats of a couple of Black Holes some people have accidentaly been dropping into the Earths core... Or something like that......
And about the 7 dimensions, I could explain them to you (as well as the other 5) but I'd get a little too over zealous.

btw im a stoner currently completeing a degree in pharmacy. its not quite astro physics, but ill save that till later in my life.

PhreeX - Of course stereotypes are easily disproven as all are, as a whole, not based on facts. "Where's the study that shows marijuana causes brain damage?..."
To answer the question: Anything. Some things I like more than others include reading, going to the movies, working out (not geat for results, but it is still fun just to do a light workout), my friend has been rebuilding a car ('56 Chevy, piece of class) so I've been having fun messing with the welder as of late, and sex is always great high (just don't get to the point where un-high sex sucks in comparison). Oh, and for the grammar natzis - yes, that last sentence was not parallel, and I'm sure it contained misplaced modi...fuck off, this is a message board, not a novel. Also when we're bored or feel sophisticated, my friends and I will get high and go down to the symphony all dressed up. Pretty fun/ny.
Oh, and I don't exhibit the hippy/stoner habits, thanks. (Usually people pass that stage within a few days or so after their first time...unfortunate are those stuck within its vicious, malevolent...)

Let's start by saying "I'm high. I'm really fucking high." That said, I told you I don't know much about quantum physics. After I posted, I realized that there were 11, not 7 dimensions. BTW: 7+5=11???? Nope. I'm actually curious about them though. I thought you were joking in your original post about studying quantum physics while high. I did misjudge you. To answer the question: go to Bluelight and (kind of) apologize. I also like watching Cartoon Network.
I'm going to regret this in the morning.
 
i think it's cool to just cruise around in a car, listen to music, and keep smoking. one thing i HATE though is cooking, im way to lazy to cook like macaroni and cheese. i always prepare food before i smoke.

and to all the people going back on forth on the "stoners are stupid" debate....what is the point of taking such offense regarding your use of a drug? sure people may have issues with it, but who cares?! if you smoke pot, smoke it and don't bother justifying it.

It's been my experience in life that stupidity is something of a constant, insofar as a stupid person who's situation changes is probably still going to be stupid. I don't really buy into the idea that "old folks are stupid," or those "young whippersnappers are stupid." Those old stupid people were stupid before they got old, and likewise those kids aren't stupid as a result of age; stupid people are just stupid.
In my limited explorations with psychoactives, stupid people who get high are still stupid. And smart people are still smart, people who like phish will still like phish, etc. It takes a lot for the most basic elements of a person to change, and it's usually tramatic. My belated point here is that stupid stoners are stupid regardless of the chemicals flowing through their body, and the same goes for intelligent stoners. Also, I don't think you can definitively assign intelligence points to someone based on their preferences for entertainment, high or not. Is a stoner who digs on Beethoven more intelligent than someone who fries all the time and just sits around the house and watches soap operas? No. The criteria don't line up enough to even make a comparison here... Same goes with drug preference.
Finally, anyone who really only does one thing all the time, and especially to excess, is not going to be as interesting to me as someone who's more multifaceted. And that goes for all endeavours in life.
Anyhow. For me, music is always fantastic whilst stoned. I just discovered the joys of DJing under the effects. I love the time dilation; seems like I have a lot more time to mix. I like to sit around and shoot the shit with old friends. I revisit my childhood a lot with pot. Memories come flooding back, but the edge is gone. Bad times can be reviewed with that pleasurable warm blanket that is Cannabis. I've only tried MDMA, LSD, Psilocybin, Absinthe, and Mary Jane. But it's been my experience that Pot has very unique properties that are not to be found in the other substances. So I don't really consider it a "lesser drug," merely different.
And attacks on someone's grammar and spelling are the lowest form of debate. It's the lazy man's way of feeling superior to someone else. That shit belongs with an equally ludicous topic, like "Death Star versus the Enterprise."

Hmm...where to start with this topic.
Well first off, when you are high, anything is fun. I could watch a movie, listen to music, just plan old chat with people, eat, do anything, because it is a fun drug.
Okay, and to the people who say that Stoners are stupid. Well, everyone knows that smokin pot does make you stupid. But, doesn't ecstasy make you stupid? Yeah, a lot more so then weed. And if you think about it, all drugs make you stupid. They aren't good for you, that is why they are illegal in the first place. So quit this shit about stoners and such, because in a way, everyone here is some type of 'stoner'.
 
grr upon bickering, grr upon it with extreme force! to quote a famous quote, "cant we all just get along?" now i realize that is pretty impossible/impractical in general, but in specific, couldn't it work for at least this topic??
i think we should all agree that everyone has something they dont like about someone else who very well have something they dont like about that person, well this could go on forever. so we can pretty much agree that stoners can do some pretty stupid things and act kinda dumb, but they also CAN do things like math and etc. its all in what the user wants to do and how they want to apply themselves to things. this also goes for any group of people, stoners, ravers, tweekers, businessmen, or anything else.
everything has its good points and bad points, sometimes the good outweighs the bad, sometimes vice versa.

ok this is my take on all this...
smoking- recreational, releases tension, generally a good time..
to put others down because they dont realize how "stupid" they are for smoking and not doing other drugs doesnt make much sense to me...
i say.. weed is fun.. other drugs are fun.. do what you want, when you want..
oh yeah.. i hate to pull this card.. but saying stoners, meaning people who smoke all the time are stupid just doesnt fly by me seeing as how i attend an ivy league school where almost everyone i know smokes, including my coach who grows it, and are all getting alone just fucking fine, not to mention surprising me with their intelligence....
ps.. dont take cheap shots like grammar and spelling.. im a grammar freak, but i dont think those who lack it are stupid...
 
for some reason, proabaly because I am a habitutal smoker, we always get into deep discussions about life, god, shit like that. It's pretty intersting the stuff that comes to mind while you are stoned. luv to all potheads
 
Smoken green is fucken terrible but everyday i have to smoke one blunt walk down to the store get me a forty go home and smoke another and do the same routine over and over....no life huh?
