Regardless of what has been said, it would be difficult for authorities to ban BL.
I don't think many politicians would want to bear responsibility for any future deaths attributable to a lack of local information on bad drug forms. Information that appears on this site almost the moment it's heard on the street.
As was said, “reform isn't given it's won”. And the movement for reform has come a long way. Be strong, let your conscience guide, but be prepared that for every step forward there will be a barrage of shit thrown at you, and from people that should know better, and usually do.
The prime objectives of this group are or should be the same as any harm reduction initiative. That is to educate to prevent. Whether this is "Don’t ever do drugs", or "Do em if ya like - just avoid letting em fuck you up" it's all about maintaining quality of life.
This board and its objectives are working, and because of that expect jealousy and bitterness from those that have fought to eliminate your right to choose and be safe about it. They just hate successes such as this.
As for comments from Libby Topp, I think she understands the significance of BL, but like many, it’s difficult in her position to recommend anything that is not leak proof. Health and safety stds, what they are and all. I believe her work and that from many like her is paving the way for drug policy reform, it’s just hard to see them on your side sometimes.
JB, excellent response. The question of debate once again springs to mind.
