Ok, so sorry for my ignorant post earlier, and thanks to CrimsonCloud for the wonderful link, but I now have a different question.
SWIM made it through two quite miserable days without any heroin (although they seemed to pale in comparison to the more severe symptoms subscribed by Phreex), and he would have just let the symptoms subside until he was entirely clean, but he has midterms the next few days and needs to be able to function. Thus, he's re-upped and now has 2 grams.
Since the prior addiction was only about three weeks long, would it be possible to taper off day-by-day by smoking a reduced amount every several days, such as .4, .4, .3, .3, .2, .2, .2, .1, .1,.1, and then be entirely clean and without any symptoms of withdrawal at the end of the period?
If this is a good idea, would he need anything else to help him get off? If it's not a good idea, and someone has a better idea, please suggest something else.
Thanks so much,
gerald
