weakest psychedelic drug

as far as drugs that can be called classic psychedelics go...
weakest in terms of potency? probably mescaline
weakest in terms of effect at full dose? perhapse LSA (although if you dosed LSA like one would dose mescaline it would kill you), ive never done 2c-d, but from what ive read its extremely mild as well as 2c-c
 
By dosage the weakest would probably be mescaline.
As far as effects, I suppose that 5-meo-DALT would be a canidate for having the weakest psychedelic effects. Taking 25mg-100mg, up to 5 times Shulgins high dose of 20mg, can cause many psychedelic symptoms such as time distortion, a "spacey" mental state, and some visual trails and color enhancement, but the mind still feels more anchored in external reality rather than some cascading psychedelic fantasy. There is a lack of fractal patterning on surfaces and warping of objects and though there maybe some closed eye visuals, they seem to lack the depth of those induced by other 5-ht agonist psychedelics.
 
5-meo-DALT isn't exactly weak. It the effects may be less exciting than some other substances, but in certain doses, it is anything but weak. I tripped with some friends with DALT the other day and two of them were essentially stuck to the floor for a good hour while tripping balls. It may not be visual, but it can fuck with your mind pretty hard. For the record, this was with a dose of 100 mg. My batch might not be pure though, as it takes 50 mg to get threshold effects.

I have gone through a whole gram of 2C-D within the last year, and I have had enough trips at modest dosage levels to say with confidence that while 2C-D may not be the most intense drug, it most certainly is NOT the weakest. It might be down in potency, and the duration is quite short, but this chemical can send you for a loop. Maybe not every time you do it, but it definitely has the ability to deliver a proper ass-whooping.
 
Yeah Killermunchies, 5-meo-DALT can still pack a punch when you take enough (though it seems to have a weaker potency than many orally active psychedelics). Last year some poor chap in the UK walked into traffic and was run over while on a large dose. The whole idea of a weak psychedelic is kind of a contradiction, as these substances generally tend to elicit a profound alteration of one's consciousness.

I agree. If you take enough of anything that alters your consciousness, it won't be weak. Some substances are more lighthearted, while others are deeper but also are easier to have a bad trip on. Like, MDA is much more foolproof to enjoy than DMT, but DMT would probably be a deeper psychedelic experience. However, neither would be considered weak in the proper dosage. The strength of a drug is dose dependent. The feelings a psychedelic drug brings can range from happy and euphoric to deep and scary depending on the drug.
 
Ecstasy is an awesome powerful drug, but it's NOT very PSYCHEDELIC. Probably shouldn't even be listed in that category.
 
Nibbling a stick of psilocybin mushrooms, less than half a gram is a decent intro to psychedelics... just don't keep nomming on them! stick super small just so you can tell there is a change
 
It's really hard to answer because we all react different to the same chemicals.

You can see that a lot of people say weed and yes it's very mild when you smoke a joint/bong/whatever but if you eat it you will trip really hard.

And the same thing goes for more or less everything, dosage is so important.

So instead of trying to find the weakest psychedelic just buy something you want to try and take a low dose.
