Weak immune system

Hi everyone. I just found this board a few days ago and have been reading alot of good info. Something I am curious about and wanted to ask. Do you find since you are an addict that you get sick alot more? I am not talking about WDs since we all know that comes with the territory after a while. I just mean in general.

I have been addicted to opiates in some form for thirteen years. Starting with hydros and since 2005, oxys. I get alot more colds, flu, and now I have been fighting pneumonia. I dont do heroin even tho it is readily available. Even when really pill sick I wont go there. From what I read on the mega thread it is a good thing I havent.

Any experiences shared would be greatly appreciated.

I do lots of durgs & almost never get sick FWIW. I have a top-notch immune system.
 
I get sick a lot more, yeah, but I've ALWAYS been a sickly person. I was a sickly kid, was kept home from school all the time with this n that, and it didn't get any better in high school and college. I think some people just have weaker immune systems naturally. Although I guess it's reasonable to think that drugs would weaken the immune system...you're putting a strain on your body, therefore making it less capable of fighting off stuff...
