I'll try not to forget, I hope I never forget all the people we have lost from EADD at least in the last few years. I feel as though I have forgotten some though, as my mind can only conjure up MTGG, Carsick, BignBrown, Evad, UnfortunateSquid. I know that there have been more and I feel bad for forgetting. I will never forget the ones that I have just mentioned though really do feel bad if I have missed people out that I have forgot :(
 
We should create a "EADD In Memoriam" thread to sticky so they're always there...
I don't know if it's just me, and it could be really cheesy, but it just sounds like a really appropriate thing to do.

Carsick, Michael to me, was a right old shock, he was a clever old boy..... but man he got into a dark place........

His death shock up A LOT of people in Bristol. :|
 
RIP to all those lost this year, may we have many less next year!

Thoughts go out to all BLrs out there who were particularly close to the ones who have died this year, behind every username is a real person after all and the loss of life is always sad.

In case anyone didn't know it existed here at BL, a lovely way to pay some messages/respects to those who've left the party early.

Thankfully we have places like here (Bluelight) that also help with things like Harm Reduction, so remember to use this year to spread even more good information about chemicals that will hopefully save lives this year too! I know I'd probably have been pretty fucked many a time if not dead if it weren't for the information from this website.
 
I also "like" (strange word to use) to visit the shrine from time to time and read all the loving and heartfelt messages and shared, endearing memories <3

It always goes to show the importance of getting the message of harm reduction to as many people as possible and that one can never be too careful <3
 
I didn't know Unfortunate Squid had died. I've not been reading much, though. Can anyone confirm this? Still so upset about Dave. Finally let off a Chinese lantern for him, on NYE. This thread brought tears to my eyes. Much love to everyone who has lost someone. A4B - I'd not be able to live without my boy, you're so fucking strong. Please take care, everyone.

That's wonderful about the Chinese Lantern, Treacle <3 I missed marking his birthday, so am thinking of setting off a sky lantern soon like we did at the wake. Last time I tried to do it in my yard with Dave though we nearly set fire to the neighbours house haha.. ahh. Glad I can still remember happy (/terrifying) memories :)

I'm sorry to say that it is true about UnfortunateSquid, yes.. another one gone far too soon :(

I have some Chinese lanterns that I'd like to set off. One of them I actually tried to set off together with Unfortunatesquid on my birthday on the Clifton Downs, but the weather was wrong and it wouldn't work, so we packed it up for another time. I've kept it all this time, a year and a bit. We were going to set them off together when he came to stay with me this new year, but didn't get around to it. Before I leave Bristol, I'd like to do the one we'd opened together in his memory, and I have another un-opened one that i'd like to set off in memory of other's that have been taken too soon. Especially my ex Tom (MTGG) and my wonderful friend Evad, and the very special Carsick.

I never ever imagined I'd have to deal with losing another person who i'd been so close to, it was bad enough the first time.

I'd like you to be with me when I set them off Effie.<3

Thank you N, I'm sorry I didn't tell you personally, I just didn't think of who it would be best to tell personally who had met him in real life before making a thread. I'm doing okay, it's still not really sunk in. Same with Tom (MTGG) i'm struggling with blame, on the strong and sensible advice of Effie, i'm definatley going to get some counselling this time, as i've not dealt with Tom's death and have unresolved grief and guilt issues, then there's Evad, and now Unfortunatesquid.

rest in peace all. those who were close to the ones who have passed have my deepest sympathy and condolances, as well as awe. it must take unimaginable strength to go through something like that.
 
My wife wasn't a Bluelighter but I think she would have loved it on here.
She sadly passed away in 2002.She was only 27 and a real party girl.She loved taking Ecstasy and acid and lived for the weekend when she could just let go and have a wild time.
Nicci,once met, never forgotten.
 
Rest in peace "the dogg 101" (Paul) , he mainly chatted in the H availability threads! Was a really nice genuine guy! He sadly lost his life at the beginning of last year! We used to chat on msn, phone. And we met up a couple of times! He had a heart of gold! Won't ever forget you mate!! x

<3 Max... I'm so sorry mate. She sounds like a very precious pearl in a sea of sand.
Regardless of her not being a member of BL, she's still just as relevant as any member here when it comes to her passing.

Please remember that The Dark Side is always there for you if you need to speak of your bereavement with others.
I say that TDS is the place to do so only because it's a specialised sub-forum that can give you all the support that other sub-forums would not be able to provide half of.
