Cook is just turned 25. He's played 50+ tests already.

This boy will end up playing about 150 tests.

I've seen the future. The future is Cook.
 
25 times out of 27 in all formats, Kid ;). One loss (England have won 14 out of 15, and look set to win the 15th).

Kiwis just inflicted Australia's first losses of the season; 1-1 in Twenty20s and lost 3-2 in the one-dayers. Suspect the tests will be a bit more in Aussies favour :(
 
I just read it took NZ nearly 20 years to win their first test. Surely that is rubbish?
 
The first test match was between USA and Canada apparently. Am I wrong?

We won a few tests before him...

But yeah: first test win was 1956 or something. Maybe 1953? We started playing tests in the early 30s. The Aussies wouldn't play against us for a while, because we were so bad (they only started sending their best team again in the 1970s). We gave England a good go a couple of times in the 40s, probably would have done better if it hadn't been for the war (had a couple of sublime players, Sutcliffe and Donnelly, who played far too seldom).
 
Only just seen the Aussies got bowled out by Pakistan for 88 yesterday!

Quite looking forward to a nice, coke fuelled day at England v Pakistan later this summer. :)
 
I hope England enforce the follow on, if they get the last Pakistan wicket quickly.

But I bet they won't...

(And pakistan could do with some performance enhancers as they've just been bowled out for 72!

C'mon Pakistan! I'm going to be taking my dad to the first day of the Oval test. Hope they actually manage to keep the game going for a whole day....
