I pre-ordered this book and it finally came today. I read his book Tweak a memoir of his use of crystal meth and many other drugs including heroin. I fell in love with the book that I had to order We All Fall Down which is a recovery memoir. I haven't read it yet since it just arrived but I already can't wait to catch up on how he's doing. So I'm wondering what your opinions are on the author Nic Sheff? If you're following his story? Or anything else you would like to talk about. Also if you can list other books that relate to his two books.

Also if you have not read any of his books yet I definitely recommend you do. They're well written and keep you interested.

I really enjoyed Tweak as well, have read it a few times now. I read Beautiful Boy also-was interesting to have another perspective on his story. I'd been wondering if he was going to write another book so I'm glad to hear it's been released. I'll definitely check it out. Let me know what you think of it

I have yet to read it but I plan on starting it today. I've just been doing a lot but I will definitely let you know how it is! I'm sure it will be just as good if not better.

I'm reading Tweak right now. It's great, both brutally and heartwarmingly honest, and so very encouraging. I'm trying to live my own "beautiful life" and working at it everyday.

I want to read another one of his books. Any suggestions on which one to pick up next?

The only other book he has out is We All Fall Down: Living with addiction (nic sheff and I highly suggest you read it after tweak)!

I just read Tweak and it was amazing and familiar. I haven't read a whole book in 15 years and yet I finished this one in 3 days. I just couldn't stop, plus I was coming down.

I was going to read Beautiful Boy next, because it's from a different perspective, one I may never know. I think now I should read this new WE ALL FALL DOWN instead. Nic Sheff is a great writer. He keeps the honesty in detail. He doesn't sugar coat the experience or the emotion of a meth addiction.

Thanks for the good news.

Yes, I started we all fall down today and it's already fucking amazing! The intro to the book was really good the way he led you into the book was very strong and I already know this book is going to be good. I'm only on chapter two right now and will be reading a lot more later.

Yes, I read tweak in basically two days. I have read it more than once. I also did not read Beautiful Boy because I heard it wasn't as good and I really don't care what the father has to say. I hate that his father gets more notoriety than Nic because in my eyes Nic Sheff is the better write and the father probably tries to make himself look better in his book when in the end he was a terrible father to Nic. I mean when Nic was younger and his father barely treated him like the child he was and opened him up to a whole world that did change his life. At least Nic was raw in the way he wrote tweak and told it how it was.

Hope you start feeling better. Good luck with your journey!

and You're Welcome!
