When would wd start once you completely stopped

1) Valium
Or
2) klonopin?

And what would the very first symptoms of wd be?

It's hard to say. I guess it depends on your metabolism. Klonopin has a long half life but I'm not sure how much longer than valium. How long have you been taking these? Do you have any pills left to taper off?

The first thing you notice could be many things. A little fear, anxiety, restlessness, muscle tremor, heavy breathing, irritability, general physical/mental pain, unstable mood (cycling), fatigue (from not sleeping well), and depression, to name a few.

Is there an average time it would kick in by? Like if I don't feel any symptoms in 2 or 3 days then I wouldn't get wd? I haven't been on it long? But how long does it usually take?

This would vary depending on how much you took for how long. I was taking 10-20mg of valium a day for 2 months and stopped. I had no WD that I noticed.

Can you give some more information about your usage?

I was taking Valium and klonopin. 1 mg of klonopin and 10 mg of Valium for about 3 weeks every day.

Actually it's more like 4 weeks.. Just a couple days w o it? Will there be wd. When will they start and is Valium wd worse or better than kpin wd?

with those long acting benzos..i would say about 3 days until noticeable symptoms.

generally in my own experience the first symptoms have always been: apathy, hostility,
rapid mood changes, feeling unusually sensitive, and memory impairment..
along with increased anxiety, of course.

with your dosages and short term use i would not expect any of those.^^
beyond maybe some rebound anxiety, as your brain adjusts.
i've never been one to agree that w/d is your head..
but i've come to believe, there are times, where it's become a self-fulfilling prophecy.. for some people.
i would suggest being wary of that..
and like i said, if i were you..i wouldn't expect to have any benzo w/d syndrome.
good luck. :)

Thank you.. How long do those wd symptoms last for a short stint, say a month at 10mg valuum

First off, Valium (Diazepam) has a longer half life than Klonopin, Rivotril (Clonazepam). So, you would feel the Clonazepam withdrawas coming on slightly sooner than the Diazepam withdrawals depending on which benzo you were dependent on. Diazepam is the BZD to taper with, Clonazepam is not because it does not have any active metabolites like Diazepam does.

One thing I don't understand is, they could use stuff like Flurazepam to taper people off Benzo's. Flurazepam is quite strong, but since it is only a partial GABA-A Agonist, and it has like a 400+ hour half life, I can see this benzo helping a lot during withdrawal if taken in proper dosages.

It really all depends, like were you taking 10mg of valium (that exact same dose) everyday? And was it always Diazepam (Valium)? or was it Clonazepam sometimes? If you were only using benzo's for a month at that dosage, you basically have nothing to worry about and should not have a problem coming off the Diazepam at all. If you were only taking 10mg/day for 1 month. Maybe reduce it to 5mg/day for a week or something and then stop. You should be fine.

In my experience, WD from benzos was hard. I was sent to a detox for something else, not knowing they would take away the Benzo too. They gave me Subutex and even then it was hard. There was no tapering, they just cut me off. I felt like my brain was on the sidewalk. I do know of people who gradually taper off and had success.

The best way I've heard to WD is to slowly taper. By slow I mean very slowly.

Valium and when you start to feel like shit. There will be some anxitety, sleeplessness etc ect....Basically all sorts of good times.
If you start shaking for tremlbling, vomiting or being extremly disoriented take some benzos. Thats the start of a grand mal seizure.

I don't think you'll get bad w/d from that (or maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones that don't notice anything), it's not that long, the doses weren't that high and both drugs have a long halflife so there won't be a rapid drop of the amount of drug in your body which will give your brain time to adjust.

If you still have any left, you could taper just to be sure, but I don't think it's strictly necessary. (maybe first week 5mg valium per day, second week 2.5mg (if you can split the pills that far if not just skip to week 3), third none)

As far as when does it start, I'd guess after 3 to 4 days after your last pill.

When was your last dose? How are you feeling now? Any insomnia, anxiety, ..

Oh yeah, and don't worry about it, if you start obsessing you'll feel like shit even without the wd.

Your best bet is to taper off the benzos using Valium.
Diazepam can stay in your system for up to 14 days FYI.

If you taper with diazepam you would almost eliminate withdrawal.
If you don't taper you will be putting yourself in an uncomfortable and dangerous situation.
